I read NC-17 Very lot. The warnings on the story's should be enough
to keep unwanted readers away. You don't have to punish everyone
for those who don't like them. So I want them back. |

Katie :
It's honestly not much of a problem for stories to be NC-17. Hell,
many authors are just cutting a few choice words and saying it's an
R. If it's clearly posted in the summary that it's an adult
fic then what's the trouble, eh? If it isn't.. well, then
the author should be warned to fix it. Besides it saying NC-17 should be
plenty in itself. Honestly no one wanting the ban has thought this
through.. |

NekoDawn :
If kids choose to ignore the NC-17 rating and view it, that is entirely
their choice. If a work clearly has "adult material" in
the summary, and an NC-17 rating, then the reader CHOOSES to click on the
link. If some little kid's parents get all huffy about
it...it's their fault. They weren't watching their child
well enough. Bring NC-17 ratings back! |

At least the kiddies are reading and exercising their literacy skills while
being scared for life, rather than porn which is just pictures! Well... I

BRING BACK NC-17!! I have read thousands of stories with ratings of NC-17
and I must say that they are by far the best stories I have ever read.
They're not just all 'la de da' and 'they lived happily
ever after' stories, they actually hold a lot of truth in them. And now
all I've been reading is a bunch of garbage made for 10 years old to
read! Its up to the kids on whether they should read them or not, why
should you make the legal people suffer!! Bring back NC-17, bring back the
decent FanFiction.Net it just to be!!! |

Malevolentnuzzler :
NC-17 fics are not just ramdom smut, alot of it has gore and angst, which,
in a war ridden world such as in HP fanfiction is possible. Everything
should not be sugar-coated. If a young person, or someone who is offended
by most high rated stories goes onto a clearly high rated story it is there
fault. Personally I love NC17 fics and think they should be allowed to be
posted on FF.net, and anyone who does not like them should stay on the
lower rated storys whick are easy to find. |

Matthew Mendiola aka Heathen92 :
Some of the best stories I have read have been NC-17. Not smuttiness or
perversion, I can go elsewhere for that, but dealing with more serious
adult issues. If the issue is children viewing stories they
shouldn't, it would be a simple matter to integrate an adult check
system into fanfiction.net. It is also unreasonable that entire accounts
were deleted because of one NC-17 story. |

Mitiko :
I thought that fanfiction.net was all about creativity. I think that NC-17
is creative. Its not about being a porn addict or anything but about
writing a story. And with adultfanfiction.net quite possibly shutting down
it leaves basically nowhere. If people choose to ignore the warnings thats
their own problem. They are quite aware of what it means. If parents
don't like that their children can read it, they should talk to their
children and implement the parental control feature that basically
everybody has. Some great stories are NC-17. Its usually not about sex, but
about a story with a plot line, of romance, struggle and difficulty. Sex is
part of life and there is plenty of it on tv which children could watch
everyday. People should learn how to parent their own children instead of
making the rest of the world do it. Your punishing us for a bunch of
ignorant children and their retarded parents. If you dont want to read
NC-17 then you dont have to, I don't see why it can't be their. Its
your choice to read it or not, its not like it really affects the rest of
the site, but rather it helps it grow, and allow the option to write NC-17
if people want to. Its all about choices. |

I think some of you guys are being a bit...well...harsh in nice english.
People are entitled to their own opinion; just because they say they want
nc-17 back doesn't mean rip them a new one.
Oh, and by the way, my own opinion is it shouldn't matter what's
on there. Fanfiction's fanfiction, you click on it because it sounds
good and you want to read it. You know what's in it by what the board
rating is. This same situation is everywhere, some kid clicks on it and is
apalled at what they read, writes in, and somebody finds out and says
'oh you need to close this' and boom, it's gone.
It's the kid's fault, he/she knew what was there. It says it
right there, they can't say 'oh I didn't see that'.
*shrugs*
Just my own opinion, though. |

Prince Kitten :
I think they should bring back NC-17 stories to FF.net. Some are really
well written, and though there are places out there that have only NC-17,
they are quite often crap fics that seem to have been written by someone
who doens't know any words with more than four letters. FF.net supports
good, well-written fanfics. I think that as long as NC-17 fics are screened
to weed out the ones written in a minute or two that make most people
shudder at the horrible writing, they should bring tham back. They are
clearly marked so if you don't want to read that '****', then
don't. |

I remember when this rule first came 'round. It's unfair to those
that have taken time and effort to write quality written stories. NC-17
should be brought back, those that don't read the warnings or don't
heed them should not have any right to complain. |

RedGenesisRanger :
Most of the best fan fic i've also read are NC-17 (18UK) and very few
even had a sexual theme to them. Most were about issue most adults face
everyday. Also deleating entire accounts because on one NC-17 story is
wrong. What about the freedom of creativity and speech. If a person wants
to post an NC-17 story, then thats there choice. Many writers place warning
within their stories, telling that it is'nt for kids, if not then maybe
FanFiction.net whould host a seperate website for NC-17 fics on their
server and you have to sign up to read stuff on it, or something.
Censorship is becoming to much, it's limiting the creativity of
talented people out there. |

Nothing wrong with NC-17. And there's nothing worse that seeing a story
which you KNOW was written as NC-17, but then got censored to within an
inch of its life. We have to deal with that crap in movies and music, but
since the internet has been getting more and more people on it, now our
last source of uncensored refuge has gone. It's ****. |

I think that there is nothing wrong with NC-17. for many people that's
all they know how to do. so I am here to ask you to put it back on the
website. cause even if you're trying to make the younger children not
read the fanfiction they will go and read it somehwere else. so lplease for
the people who only write that way. Please put it back on. |

Griever's Ruler :
Why are they editing the stories? I never understood why they took NC-17
away. Lemons are a way of showing readers how much a couple feel about each
other, it's a way of life and it shouldn't be taken away. If they
delete people's accounts over this, then sorry...I'm taking my
writing else where and fanfiction.net will go out of business. If I
remember the motto "Unleash your imagination and set free your
soul." They are not living up to what they are saying. If
fanfiction.net take this away from us to, I will not be writing for them
anymore. It's cutting away at our talent, and hurting the thoughts and
beliefs of others. I was never around to see NC-17... but if it came back
I'd write for that instead. I know my writing is M rated and I'm
proud of my work. If they demolish my work by taking away what took so long
to build up. They will lose me as a writer. |

they can't get rid of lemons!! That's just evil!! Anyway, you can
only view NC-17s if you choose them - like you do with Ms now, so
what's the big deal? If kids don't heed the rating then that's
their bloody problem!! Anyway, you can get porn and everything else on the
internet, so why can't you read lemons? Ugh. |
