Homework, is a complete waste of time. The only reason students are sent home from school is to rest not to study more. It is contradictory to claim that students are provided with equal ammounts of study and free time when most of the "free time" is occupied by doing tasks that were given for "Homework". It is claimed by some people that homework increases student's retention of the course material, however 2 weeks after the exams are over students forget 95% of what they had learned in the course, leaving just the basics they learned in class.

The ammount of homework given is also rediculous , the ministry rules that homework should take an average of 2 hours a night, however teacher do not seem to understand that its not 2 hours per subject rather 2 hours for all subjects. We are given far too much homework and are expected far too much.

A whole day in class and most of the night reading school books that are related to the subject in school leaves a student out of touch, without free time, and unable to get exercise or pursue extracurricular activities. Talents and interest of the student often can not be nurtured in a classroom setting with teachers focused only on a specific subject.

Moreover, there is a considerable body of research supporting the idea that homework is of little educational value, and that for young children (i.e. under 14) it actually has a negative effect on learning.

Currently a level 4++ is equivelent to 100% is doing more than was expected in the course material. However this grading system is ludicrous. 100% should be doing everything that was expected to be done exactly to the degree it had been done at. Doing "extra" work should not be worth "extra" marks, In the real world when you are given a task ie: To shovel the driveway, and you shovel the whole city your not paid extra! why should you be given extra marks on an assignment.

Furthermor some students have many more liberties and less prior commitments so they are able to do the "Extra" work required in order to meet the criteria for a 100% mark. Others are not so fortunate. 100% is not equivelent to 150% or 200% , 100% is doing exactly what you were told to do perfectly.

I demand that grading system should be adjusted fairly so that we aren't expected to do extra work which we currently are. I also demand that homework be abolished entirely.
