The New Zealand Driving ag currently sits at the age of 15, this is where 15 years olds have the right to obtain a learners licence and then moce to a restricted and then a full licence. The New Zealand Government wants to consider mocing the NZ legal dricing age from 15years to 18years in August of 2005. The current legal drinking age in NEw Zealand currently stands at 18years.....The two years will clash and what will end up happening? more road accidents and more drin driving........It will be hard on families because the legal nz driving age currently lets people get their full licence by the time they are al least 17 or 18 which mean independence. A majority of our youth and younger children reaching the current legal driving age would agree that this is radicle and would like the NZ Government's choice to change and let be known how many people actually actually care!

The Drivinq Age Should Stay At 15 Because The People That Are Mainly Beinq Cauqht Drinkinq & Drivinq Is Youth But Also Adults Aswell! The youth That Mainly Do qet Cauqht Are The Ones That Either Don\'t Have There License Or Are Just immature. What They Should Do Is Look At There Past Or Present Reports & qet The Youth To qet A Slip Or Contract Whatever Siqned By There Dean & Someone That Isn\'t Their Relative But Close To There Family Or Themselves. I Am A Teen Myself, 15 Years Old. If You Were To Raise The Drnikinq Aqe It Would Be Unfair To Those Teens That Actually Deserve It & Are Mature Enouqh To qet Their License & If You Were To Raise It You Would See More Havoc On The Streets With Teens Drivinq Without Their Drivers License But Are Yet Good Drivers! & All Of Yous That Have qot Yur License & Aqree With Raisinq The Drivinq Aqe All Of Yous Have Already qot Yur License But Yew Should Put Yurself In Myshoes & Understand Where Im Cominq From! I got my learners at 15. didnt have a crash. i drove with passengers. Im an example of a typical teenager.and yet i havent hurt anyone becuase i choose not to drink drive. drink drivings more the issue

I Do Not Support This Petition. I Have Just Turned 15 And Have Been Raised On A Farm, Resulting In Me Learning To Drive At The Age Of 12. All My Family, Including Distant Family, Have Been Taught To Drive At A Very Young Age, We Are All Responsible Drivers And Know What's What. I Have Been Waiting To Turn 15 For A Very Long Time Just To Obtain My Learner's License. I Think Having The Driving Age At 15 Teaches Kids To Be Responsible And Careful In Future Years, Where They Will Be Legal To Alcohol, Which Will Be A Bad Mix If The Driving Age Is Increased. KEEP IT THE WAY IT IS.

I disagree with this petition! Putting the driving age up will just encourage kids my age to drive because they won't be allowed to drive but they will. Just to get attention and in more trouble! I also think that it'll be a waste of time and it would put more pressure on the police!
