The State Supreme Court says that Lawmakers have to make up their mind by April 2007 whether or not lawmakers will rewrite marriage laws or establish a similar system of unions for homosexuals. The New Jersey Courts ruled that same sex couples are entitled to equal rights, and hopefully make the next step to gay Marriage rights in New Jersey in April 2007.
