Nick seriously needs to bring these shows back. They are so much better than the stuff they show now. Those shows were actually funny. If Nick doesn't put them back on the air atleast make a DVD for us to buy.
My friends and I talk about having a "Classic Nick" cable channel, featuring all the greats -- salute your shorts, pete and pete, Are you afraid of the dark, doug, you cant do that on television, wild and crazy kids, hey dude, etc--. LISTEN TO US NICKELODEAN!!

nick's definately gone to hell. some of the most classic shows are gone. tv these days is just the same crap.

It sounds stupid, but thinking about the fect that I grew up watching these shows, and thats it's virtually impossible to find them now, gets me close to tears. These shows were my entire childhood. I programed the TV to watch them and did everytime they were on with my sister. They hold many memories for me and I would more than love to see them be put on DVD. These were, and always will be my favourite TV shows.
What happened to Nickelodeon (aside from SpongeBob) After these shows left Nickolodeon it all went DOWN HILL! I LOVED Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, The Roundhouse, Clarissa Explains It all, Ren & Stimpy! You'd make so much $$ if you released them!
i definitely got so desperate that i downloaded some of the salute your shorts episodes off of the internet but they were bad quality! i want my Butnick and Donkeylips. And most of all i want my PETE AND PETE!!!
omg i miss claasic nick so much! they should put a collection of all the classic nick shows and put them on dvd!they were the best shows "are u afraid of the dark" was awesome and scary!we need these shows back! I LOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE Classic Nick shows! I really miss watching them ever since they practiclly changed all the show. Don't get me wrong, I mean I like the new shows, but there are a lot of people out there, including myself that miss the Classic Nick shows, like Are You Afraid Of The Dark, The Journey Of Allen Strang, The Secret World Of Alex Mack ECT! Salute your shorts has been the best show since it was created!!!!!! are you afraid of the dark is soooo awesome 2!!!! And pete and pete was a-ok, but wasn't as good as salute your shorts & are you afraid of the dark. BRING EM BACK 2 DVD!!!!!!!!

I would like to echo Kylie R. Cheevers' statement. When I had to have both of my legs, my arms, my neck, AND my feet ampuatated because of complications from injury in a inline rollerblading contest, watching these shows made me feel normal again. I felt so alive. For the very first time. So please bring thse shows back, even to help children who DO have feet. Thank you.

First of all, I must say that anyone who is this dedicated to old school shows like "Salute Your Shorts" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark" are tops in my book. God I loved those shows back in the day. I long to return to those childhood days at times. Those shows really remind me of the good old days. Anyway, I will be happy to participate in this little petition.
Being born in 1988, those shows were an intricate part of my childhood. I loved them as a kid and I want to see them now, but they don't show them (not to my knowledge)
These shows sculpted who I am now... Watching these shows subconciously changed my being everyday of my child hood. I'd do anything to taste the sweet nectar that are these shows once again. To revive my once vibrant state of mind, and to vanquish this suicidal, and morbid persona, please Nickelodeon, bring back these shows...
Analysis:First of all, these shows helped me through my overcome of AIDS. They mean so much to me. Im surprised I lived. I am. Then, after I overcame my tragic disease, I lost my whole family and friends in a horrible accident that is very complicated (it has to do with hot magma). its still a touchy subject for me to discuss. Therefore, I think these shows should be apart of every childs life, even the fortunate ones who have family and friends and arent dying of AIDS. It would mean so very much to me. Please, help me overcome my grief. (And I am also diagnosed with alzheimers).

TVshows to DVD seems like a great market these days and seeing as those these shows have a cult-following, I don't see why not to finally break down and release them on DVD.
These shows have so many great childhood memories. So much better than the mindless drivel that is Spongebob or whatever's on Nickelodeon nowadays. At least replay them on Noggin!
