With all due respect Namco, this is total BS. Soul Calibur 2 is one of (if not THE) best fighting games ever made. On my big HDTV with a killer sound, playing SC2 on XBOX is just heaven. If you made Soul Calibur 3 an exclusive for the weaker, slower, lesser graphical PS2, i will be really mad and, well, you'll be losing a loyal costumer.
This is an outrage! Why should I have to fork over $150-$200 to buy another system? That's outright and it's only so Sony can rake in the gold. Don't you see? It'll be Sony who'll get more cash than you will!
Dear Namco,
SC3 should come to all consoles this isn't fair. PS2 is the least powerful of all 3 systems why jsut put it on the PS2. Does it not matter what the people want. The PS2 always breaks so I don't have one and that disk read error stuff is ridiculous. I have Tekken 5 that I can barely play because I refuse to buy another PS2 when I didn't do anything wrong.I love Soul caliber but if you can't put it on Xbox or Xbox 2 I can't buy it and I won't. I'm sorry but you all are forcing my hand. I was so excited but a PS2 exclusive isn't going to work for me. I know it will in Japan most likely but what about the rest of the world.
With all of the people who bought X-box in the last 6 months, you could @ least put SC3 on the box. And same 4 gamecube owners. We would love to play the sequel to the greatest fighter ever released
As a up and coming game developer i had fath in namco. as of today that fath has been shadered due to the racism of systems on namcos part. They are truely becoming game nazis and should be condemed for there actions
You've captured the hearts of Xbox and GameCube owners with the best fighting game this era has ever seen.
And now you're going to break them by denying us the right to play the sequel?
Just what are you trying to achieve here, Namco?
You say you want to be fair for all the fans of the series, then why bother making Soul Calibur II for the Xbox, yet you deny Xbox owners (and Gamcube owners) ownership of the game.. Online is one thing, but thats anything but fair.
Online mode would kick ass though.
HAHAHAHA, Namco, I have to laugh at you. Soul Calibur 2 sold best on the GCN, and then you guys deny it from that console. Great buisness move. We all know if you throw Link in it again, the game will sell like crazy. Too bad.
Hey Namco!!! Put Spawn and Link in SC3 for GameCube =P
...or Soul Calibur 3 for Arcade :P I´ll buy the machine...
If you don´t do anything about it u ll suck :)

Namco, Namco , Namco, the best fighting game ever should be multi-platform so all would buy and not on the lowest grade next-gen system. bring it to xbox and cube so all can enjoy the carnage.
My friends and I were looking forward to playing Soul Calibur 3, hosting home tournaments and supporting Namco's latest installment of the series. I have purchased all of the games in the series up to Soul Calibur 2. The business decision by Namco and Sony to relase this game exclusively for PlayStation 2 has resulted in myself, and a lot other people looking to play other games, as we will not be buying this game--simply because of this bad decision which has literally isolated a VERY large amount of people from enjoying this game. Please reconsider your business strategy regarding this game.
Why the **** would you have SC3 exclusively for the ps2? I thought companies usually thought about cash first. Besides the GC version was the best anyway. You're stupid *******s, and I hope you enjoy not getting any money from me!
I had been looking forward to the announcement of SCIII, and that day came with great disappointment. Not a smart move. I guess Namco isn't in the business of making money.
There are far too many people with other consoles to only put SCIII on PS2 and I think PS2's controllers are the most difficult to use. Who the flip designed them.
I bought the Gamecube version of Soul Calibur II and loved it. It controlled the best and I ruled with Link. Now I have an Xbox and a Gamecube but no PS2. I'd buy both the Xbox and the Gamecube version just cause I'd want to play with Link and cause I want it on Xbox Live. If you don't do this you're losing two more sales.
This is ridiculous. The game sold over a million on the cube. After nintendo granting you access to their IP in donkey konga and starfox: assualt, I fail to see how making SC3 for PS2 is ethical, or even smart. Sony may have payed you a lot of money, but is it worth the 1.5 million+ sales SC2 generated on xbox and cube? Surely, if you put SC3 on the cube you'd have access to link and gannondorf again also, which would again attract more sales.
SC3 should be released on all platforms, not just the PS2 version. I enjoyed SC2 on the GameCube with Link and there's no reason why GCN and XBox versions get shut out. Big mistake on Namco's part.
I hope you take a look on your sells of SC2 and you see that the version of the gamecube sold more than the PS2 version and the x'box version sold well enoughf and both deserves recive the 3rd version of SC and a try of Teken 5
I will not buy another Namco game untill you bring Soul Calibur back to the Gamecube!
This is a very stupid mistake on your part, depriving millions of fans that were looking forward to this on the GC and Xbox (Like myself)
there is no way i'm going to spend $200 just so i can play SCIII i have a gc and an xbox why should i have to buy another system just to be able to play SCIII
