because they are morons. They are missing out on 1,401,000+ sales. They also made a buggy game this time around. If you cancel a move at the right time, your opponent keeps getting hit by it even if you're not doing anything. You can proceed to do more damage before they've gotten out of your "throw". Bugs like that hurt sales. They might have made more money if they gave everyone the buggy game. If you want to play a fixed version you have to find one of the few arcades that they're allowing to buy the machines. Are they trying yo kill this series?

If Namco fail to make soul calibur and tekken series multi-playform , i swear that i will NEVER buy another game from this company and if everyone follows this reaction it will certainly put a hurting on the sales of this Company.

Yeah i play fighting games religously , its a part of my life. Soul Calibur and Tekken series where undoubtly the best games i have ever played in my life but Namco denied me tekken 5 and soul calibur 3 for the xbox whitch i bought.( I swore that with a console with improve graphics that these two games would just be on it , even famitsu magazine had said that tekken 5 was coming to the xbox , but it never did so i had to settle for an inferior barely enjoyable game like dead or alive.I cursed namco for months upon month -(did these greedy *****es acctually think that i was going to shell out $200.00 for a playstation just to play soul calibur and tekken, no ****ing way .. well yeah i would have succumbed to this notion if i had the available finace , but disappointly that was not the case so yeah i was screwed.
Im losing my gamer's edge and fervor If i am unable to access these games.
I want these games to be for all systems cause they are true work of art in the fighting genre and every gamer needs it to be integrated into his or game library.

I support this petition. What's the point in Namco making Soul Calibur two on all the platforms and making Soul Calibur 3 only for PS2? They really don't know how many Gamecube and Xbox fans they're upsetting!!! I really hope they change they're minds before it's too late.
Your not missing much, Namco X Capcom is a ****ty game. Crappy graphics, easy and simple battle system, highly repetitive, stages are poorly paced and take too long to complete.

I support because I will no longer buy Namco games because they decided not to realese Namco X Capcom to USA. (I love RPGs and I grew up with Street Fighter, Tekken).
I wanted to play Namco X Capcom because I wanted to know a little more about Namco and it's characters (and I enjoyed crossovers such as Capcom VS SNK and Marvel VS Capcom )
All Namco had to do was translate the text to english and UK, keep the japanese VAs and relaese it to USA.
This is so unfair.

Wow, I just played this game and it blows. The graphics suck and the game is nothing but a rehash. You aren't missing out on much. Let the PS2 keep this lackluster game.
Look at the sales firgures for the Xbox version of SC2, Namco is not gonna make a game for less than 50k fans, you need to step over and get it on the PS2. You guys certainly are the bigger losers of this equation.
Are you serious? the X-box is the BEST platform for Soul Calibur period. It has the best response for blocks and the graphics are the smoothest. Soul Calibur has nice eye candy, i hate the ugly blurriness of PS2.
Seriously, the cool thing about different councils is different styles of playing. Some people just buy the PS2 controller accessory for all the systems. My buddies buy the Arcade Joystick controller that plugs into all 3. I prefer the Small X-box controller. But there are many many of us who will NOT buy a PS2. or even a PS3. they may have many games... but X-box is just Smoother.

It would be a much poorer decision if it was exclusive to the 2nd and 3rd rate consoles in sales. SC2 sold like **** on the Xbox and barely broke even with the GC (where it was number 1 in Link fanboy heaven aka USA). The PS2 version gave them the most money. Hey PS fanboys did not cry to mommy when SC was announced for the Dreamcast. Then theres the obvious time constraints because it has to be ported to those other hardware its just not worth it. PS2 is the fighting game system, Namco loves Sony the best. Its just the way it is. Don't like it? Though.
Namco made a very poor decision when it chose to make soul calibur 3 exclusive to ps2. It is not fair for them to make fans by releasing soul calibur 2 across all three consoles, then basically saying, "screw you soul calibur fans who don't have a ps2" by making it exclusive to the system. Yes, Namco has made games exclusive to the xbox and gamecube but when a developer makes a ps2 exclusive sequel to a game that was released on all three consoles, it's not right. It would be just as wrong if soul calibur 3 had been made exclusive to the xbox or gamecube.
Soul Calibur II was the first game I bought for my Xbox. It still remains my favourite fighting game, and I still play it. I don't know what crazy deal was signed at Namco, but I sincerely hope that you change your minds over there. It would be a shame if you lost 2/3rds of your fans.
However, I suppose if Namco is so keen to abandon its 'Cube and 'Box fans, there will be other fighting games. Their loss, although I'd rather not see it come to that.

It's pathetic that they'r not releasing this for the 'cube! The GC version sold more than the PS2's! And its no benefit on the PS2 either as the game won't be using online and will have slightly downgraded graphics cmopared to that of GC/Xbox!

SC2 was one of my favorite fighters EVER! I do not own a PS2, so i, along with many many others, cannot purchase it. Please reconsider your frankly, foolish decision and give the 'box and 'cube owners Soul Caliber 3!!!
