Gays and Lesbians have protection from non gays but where is the protection for our children who have not made the choice to be gay.
In short I have a 16 year old female child who started dating, (What we thought was a 19 year old male named Nicholas) And fell in love. Then I found out that he was actually a 16 year old female, I went to her Grandmother who is her guardian and confirmed this fact. As I was at her house talking to her grandmother and this girl about the whole situation and wanted to her to tell my daughter the truth, She said that she talked to her about it. I then found out that she called my daughter and told her that we were all lieing, and continued her lie that she was a he. Because my daughter was in love she believed her. Shortly after all this I was informed and later confirmed that they had sex before my daughter had known that she was a girl.
I went to the Knox Pa. police and reported this, Because my daughter had given consent to have sex with a 19 year old man not a 16 year old girl and a sex toy, to me this is Rape. The police did an investigation and turned it over to the Clarion County Pennsylvania DA's office and he refused to do anything about it, or even talk to Her Mother and Me. I submit that this is wrong in so many ways and if there is no law against this there should be and I want the Clarion DA to address this situation. All I want is Equal Rights if Gays get protection from non Gays Why shouldn't Non Gays have protection From Gays. My daughter is questioning her own sexuality and in my opinion has many other issues over this. She had no problems with her sexuality before all this and had said that if she had known that her friend was a girl she would still would have been her friend but would not have had an intimate relationship with her. But since she had been duped into a Lesbian relationship and fell in love with this person and all her lies, She now has questions about her sexuality. Since we can't rely on people's morals to protect our children we have to rely on the law so I ask you to sign this Petition to stand with me and ask the DA's office to set a Precedence and address this issue
