So this petition is for everyone who’s against the electronics ban in catholic schools, in ottawa. STARTING THIS YEAR we’re not allowed any electronics…at any time, IN any catholic school in OTTAWA, itss banned.

This includes our mp3’s, cell phones, and even our camera’s. Oh yeah. These aren’t allowed on school property AT ANY TIME. This includes our lunch hours, in the mornings, and I’m pretty sure (but not 100%) that it includes outside too. Okay, so we can deal with not being able to have our cell phones/camera/mp3 in class. We get that. But at lunch?! We’re supposed to be able to look back at old pictures of us in school and go “oh yeah. Look how awesome we were.” But, of course, this is too much for little old days.

I don’t know about you, but I like having a headphone in my ear, whether I’m listening to anything or not makes no difference. Our lunch hour and the mornings are supposed to be a time when we can RELAX. And for a lot of people, taking a nap in the morning with some music or walking around taking pictures IS their idea of being able to relax. I’m thinking that this ban is ridiculous, and we should do something about it. This isn’t the school board’s school. This is our school. We should be changing it to how WE want it. Not how they want it.

So as im asking you is to sign this petition, so we get it back, back to normal, no major changes, like all im asking is for it to be the way it was last year,not make any changes, and im hoping you would all like it like that to, like whats banning electronics going to solve, this is a free country, and it should be the same every where, our parents pay taxes for us to go to school, and there is only one school board in all of ontario banning electronics, if im pretty sure, i can take nice guess that this is the only school board in north american banning electronics permanently from school property,for one i can understand not have our electronics in class, but in the halls or during lunch, c'mon give me a break man, we've grown up on this stuff it's 2007 and you guys are trying to take it away..
