Oprah, please give a voice to the helpless dogs in puppy mills ... you do so much to educate so many ...would you please help these animals that can't help themselves ? Each of us who has signed this petition does what we can to stop this horror, but we can't do it alone ...
ADOPT! Do NOT patronize puppy mills, or stores that sell animals, or backyard breeders!
PLEASE ADOPT a pet! Do NOT purchase from the money hungry, greedy jerks that live off the selling of puppies (who are usually ill and cost big bucks in medical treatments.. that is, if they don't die in the first week that they finally have a home!)
Millions of young, adoptable pets are slaughtered each year simply because there are not enough homes for them. Yet, puppy mills continue to overbreed these poor souls who will most likely be euthanized years later. There is no true regulation of these mills...they operate free of restraints and what has resulted is one of the most horrific industries ever. These mills are guilty of the cruelest cases of abuse and neglect...and they show an utter lack of respect for life. Please, I urge you to help expose the daily atrocities that occur everyday...the suffering that these innocent souls must endure. They have no voice...only pain. Even non animal lovers can see the injustice of overbreeding...only to kill these dogs later on. Please help us get out the word...it is such a worthy, gratifying cause. Thank you

This is a Plea Oprah for you which has the ability to expose this inhumane treatment of these Puppies that are born Just for money. (Oh, they also do this TAX FREE) These folks have No Love nor Care.. It just about the ole' Mighty Dollar. You have done so much for so many, your canine audience could certainly use your help. Please, oh, Please help these poor pups as they are unable to help themselves. In this country each week thousands of dogs are put down cause of OVER breeding... Help Stop the Madness!
PS - Do not forget about the ones smuggled in from Mexico this has become a Big issue here in california.
Dog auctions are a new money maker for the Amish too - I guess the quilts just don't bring in the $$ like dogs do. It'a s new way to sell puppy mill dogs.

maybe a series of shows? one exposing the puppymills, another promoting rescues and shelters and people/places that are making a difference...such as the Adoption Option at Northgate Mall right here in Chattanooga!!! And the Critter Magazines that are popping up here in the Southeast, not sure about elsewhere but they are here and Atlanta and Birmingham and Knoxville I KNOW...
Please help us to expose this terrible,shameful way some people make a living Tell people to buy a pet from a reputable breeder or give a home to one of the millions of dogs or cats that are housed in our animal shelters across the country. Millions of animals are euthanized each year because there is not a home for them. Many of these poor animals never even make it to a shelter; they starve, are hit by motor vechiles or die from exposure. Please help us spread the word of altering your companion animal. You have such a wide audience and could make such a big impact if you could do one of your shows to this worthwhile endeavor.
There are plenty of places to go and adopt dogs, and plenty of breeders who are respectable people where a person can buy a dog. Why do we have puppy mills where animals are abused and mistreated? What does the public not understand or what do they need to know to make a wise and caring decision in acquiring a pet?
Is it the lack of laws or the apathy of people buying a dog that allows these places to exist?
Will you help those who cannot help themselves? Help bring a public awareness to the atrocities of puppymills and backyard breeding. Emphasis still needs to be on spay/neuter, as well.

Oprah, think of your own dogs and how much you love them - could you imagine them living in cages, filty, unloved, bred time and time again until the very life is bred out of them? Please use your influence and help stop this inhumane practice. Thank you.
Over 4 million innocent animals are put to sleep everyday because there aren't enough homes for them. If you did a show about puppymills and got the word out, that number could be drastically reduced. Please help those innocent puppies and their parents.

euter and the plight of homeless animals. So many die needlessly every day while unethical breeders cater to the trend of designer dogs. You can get the word out to such a large audience of people, the very people who need to be reached to stop the abuse of these helpless animals.
You have so much influence! Please heed the request to do an expose' on puppy mills and the suffering they cause. There are so many homeless pets at shelters that are worthy of a good life.
Thousands of people work so hard to fight puppymills and the horrendous injustices done to animals all over the country. I don't think there's anyone better than you to help us get the word out.

Dear Oprah,
I worked with a man to train his dog only to find out later that he only bought the dog as a stud for his new backyard breeding enterprise. He also told me that he was actually allergic to dogs - didn't allow them in the house and that he wanted this dog to be trained so he could impress potential buyers. He was so clueless about dogs, their physical and psychological needs, and everything else ‘dog’ that he could talk to me in that manner without a glimmer of shame or the awareness that I would think there was something very wrong with his new enterprise.
We really need your help to get ‘The Word Out’.
Please Oprah - consider doing a show on the terrible conditions in puppy mills - I deal with the old, weak and frightened breeders who are turned into rescue after years of abuse in these mills
