Please consider helping all the little animals that are forced to live and mass reproduce in this way. The mills range from backyard small business to multimillion dollar enterprises that sells to many local pet stores. There are great breeders who do the testing , screening etc and are selective about new homes. These are not the problem. PLEASE help us make the other stop this horrible practice.
I know many people think rescue people are just fanatics,that is so untrue. We love animals, just like you do and wish them all to have loving homes.

Countless dogs are living in miserable conditions, suffering for no reason other than being born into the wrong place at the wrong time. Please, Oprah, help us help them.
This is a very serious issue that needs to STOP! You can make a difference in these puppies lives, Oprah. Just think about your own dogs being in a place like this. Think about how happy your dogs are. The dogs in these puppymills would rather be dead. They don't know the happyness that other dogs such as yours or mine get to feel.

Every year between 6 to 10 million dogs are euthanized in shelters throught the US..they are the lucky ones who don't die on the streets; victims of abuse, elements, starvation, or just life on the streets. Overpopulation of domestic animals is out of control. The conditions these 'mill' dogs have to live in and endure go far beyond normal human comprehension. Brainless, heartless humans making money off of the blood and suffering of animals. Please offer your support and help us inform the public.

I am a shelter walker. I see thousands of animals put to sleep! The is an over-population of animals, that the puppy mills continue to add to. It is just sad! There are not enough homes/rescues for these animals. The puppy mills need to stop adding to this problem.

Puppy mills cause more problems than just over population. The inbreeding causes multiple health and behavior problems that can be dangerous for everyone.
It's sad to think that we as a human race have become such horrible and cruel people and to top it off the root of all puppymills(yes ladies and gentleman)MONEY!!!

Please Oprah take this issue to heart. This a problem going on across the USA and people need to be educated. They need to understand what a horrible beginning most of those adorable little puppies have. I am the VP of Arkansas Great Dane Rescue and I could tell you more terrible stories than you would ever want to hear. We need help because we have to work constantly fundraising, educating, and fostering to keep up with the numbers of dogs coming in. We also help many little dogs like chihuahuah's, pugs, pekingnese, poodles and so on that come from terrible puppy mil situations. PLease help us help those who can not talk for their selves.
If you go and walk around any shelter or animal services, and see the sad eyes and trembling bodies of poor abandoned scared dogs, you would never forget their precious faces, or the fact that they will probably be put to sleep, for NO reason, except overpopulation. Would it surprise you that many puppy mills are run by animal hoarders - a mental illness? Visit HSUS online for their animal hoarding statistics - even if you would prefer not to do a show about puppy mills directly, there are ways to get the message across. A show about the overal impact that animals have on our lives, throw in the serial killer angle, etc. Unfortunately, 10 minutes on any given topic, when aired on your show, has more impact that newspapers, TV news and magazines combined. I hope your staff gets to see these ideas.
Oprah, Please help expose the horrors of the puppy mills.These animals should not have to live this painful life and do nothing but produce litters over and over again until they can produce no more or until they die of disese in these filthy, disgusting places. Sometimes these dogs never touch a blade of grass or see the sunshine. They are not vetted and left to suffer. Please help !

I've been involved in rescue for 15 years, including saving dogs from puppy mills. What these poor animals suffer is just heartbreaking. Oprah, this young man is running nothing more than a puppy mill and if you could see the condition these dogs live under just to make the god almighty dollar you too would be ashamed of your fellow human beings. Sure these puppies look cute and cuddly BUT these dogs are being forced to breed, time after time -- some for as long as 10 years. The moms are emaciated, forced to live in cages in their own feces and urine. Their hair is so matted that the only recourse is to shave them. They are FRIGHTENED and need your help NOW! I am ashamed to say I live in the well-known puppy mill state of Missouri! I am also the Missouri State Rep for the United Yorkie Foundation and I am PLEADING WITH YOU to give this treatment of animals your utmost attention. I fully understand how busy you are but you are also a pet owner and just think if your own dogs were FORCED to live their lives in a small cage, forced to give birth time after time from a young age until their bodies shut down - then they are tossed aside like yesterday's garbage. All of the people who work in Animal Rescue would appreciate it so much if a respected national figure such as yourself would investigate and report on the business of puppymills. The condition of puppymill dogs sold at auctions, the living conditions of the breeding dogs, the mill puppies sold that are inbred and suffer from genetic abnormalities, and the dogs that are purchased and dumped at shelters nationwide.

Come on Opera we need to expose the truth about Puppymills and Petstores because most all dogs that are in petstores come from puppymills! The people who do the puppy mills have to be stopped and people must know about them!!!

Many or most of these dogs have never been out of a small crate. They spend years in them half fed and no medical attention and terrified and abused. Please be a voice for these little fur babies. Oprah - Please help! There is so much pain and suffering for these poor souls. Those of ua in the rescue world would like to see an end to this. We all volunteer our own time and gasoline to transport these "poor souls" to better lives.
Oprah, I realize you are busy but please consider doing this story, exposing the horrors of puppymills. These poor dogs are kept a lifetime in little cages. They have no human contact except when it's breeding time. They don't know how to play. They don't know the kind hand of being loved on by a human. They are forced to breed, litter after litter until their bodies are so broken down. Then what happens to them? Some are killed. Some are thrown away and left to die. They live in filth...their own filth. If they have long hair, it's usually so matted and nasty thay they have to be totally shaved down to bare skin. They are infected with fleas and who knows what else.
Please Oprah...help us to put a stop to puppymills. Help us to save these animals and educate people of the autrocities that go on because of greed. Thank you.
