Please help this cause by exposing the horrors of this on your show. You love animals, you have animals....they
need you and so do we. Please help us help them!
Oprah,
These dogs need a chance. Please do a show so everyone has the knowledge of puppy mills. Lets stop the suffering and the pain. All it takes is knowledge and helping one dog at a time.
Oprah,
You love doggies! You have the power and influence to make a difference and be the voice of thousands of animals who are helpless and unable to speak for themselves. Please help us help them.
God bless you.
Oprah, I know you are a compassionate person who would do whatever possible to help end this type of abuse... Please make every effort to stop this "puppy mill" stuff from happening. It's not fair to all of the animals involved...the pups and the animals being forced to reproduce. The general public needs EDUCATED and the people proliferating puppy mills need PROSECUTED! Thanks in advance for your help with this situation...you do have the power to help!
Oprah, you have the power to help these unfortunate animals that can not speak for themselves. Won't you please help shine the light on this dark issue? Thank you!
Oprah, you have the means and opportunity to educate people and to open their eyes to the horrors of puppy mills and the terrible consequences of backyard breeders. It is time for this practice to end. I don't think it will ever stop until you bring attention to it. There is a huge, practically underground, network of rescue organizations that are working themselves to exhaustion trying to help all these animals that the uninformed people of our country are just throwing away. It would be wonderful to highlight some of these groups and some of their success stories. They really need you to help get the message out. Please help.
Please use you extensive media coverage to help stop puppy mills. We should all make an effort to ensure good stewardship of the animals we have as pets.
Thank you.
Stem cell research. Disabilties. Dogs. Animal helpers. American Pie. What better way to reach the heart and soul of voters and viewers who want to find common ground to bridge the gap between G.W. Bush and Democrats. Bringing up puppy mills in the program will lead to a gentler way of communicating.
Oprah, Why won't you do a show exposing these torture chambers called "puppy-mills".There are so many shelters overflowing with homeless dogs & cats , we don't need any more purposely brought into the world. We rarely see the place these poor babys are born & the sick & ammaciated mother dogs , who are just the "puppy-mills" ! These places should all be closed down & the so-called people who run them put in jail for a while , just for fun.Your show has a huge audience & the people watching take real interest in the subject because they trust you to tell them the truth! Please do a show on this subject & see how many homeless pets can be saved. Thanks in advance. Sincerely Alan Serlin Chicago Il.
What irony is America. Whole stores are devoted to pet food & supplies; whole stores are devoted to baby & childrens' needs. Yet there remain countless of the voiceless ones who are exploited and suffering LEGALLY!
My family adopted a small, male pom from a rescue group that got custady of several puppy mill dogs. He was only moments from being put to sleep when he was rescued. He was underweight and had come from a horrible place. Please educate people on puppy mills.
Oprah, you being a dog lover, here's hoping you will do a show on puppy mills. If you have ever seen a puppy mill and how they are kept, sure you would jump in and do a show to try to get the word out on the plight from beginning to end of these precious puppies.
Oprah you can be a vehicle to bring awareness to the deplorable conditions under which these dogs live. If we can bring it to public attention perhaps President and Mrs. Bush will become aware and start the effort to further police these factories. Anyone who loves their animals has to be appalled at the conditions these animals live in. To day nothing of the breeding animals who may have genetic defects which are quite costly to treat (if they can be treated). If you research this issue you and your staff will see that this is a area that needs to be addressed in this country.
Please help show the world how much all these puppy mill babies are suffering. They are helpless and can only depend on humane. Some of us has given up our whole life to try and help dogs but it still seems so endless What is wrong with the world to allow such things to go on with little precious lifes.
Ms.Winfrey,
I work for an animal hospital and we see alot of puppies bought from pet stores with numerous health problems. If people are going to purchase puppies they need to be purchased from a reputable breeder. Please do what you can to educate the puplic about puppy mills and the abuse these dogs and cats endure. Thank you.
This goes on all over the country and you have the power to make people all over our country aware of this problem. You are a compassionate person, please bring this to the attention of the American People, the more exposure we get then the better our chances of shutting these horrible people down. The mills are all over our country, just look at all of the stores that sell puppies - which everyone thinks are cute. Please think about all of the poor animals that are in shelters. This is an epidemic problem - please help get the word out about them !!!
Thank You !!!!!
Having adopted dogs from rescue and hearing the abuse that the puppy mills do to the animals and seeing the effects first hand, I implore you to use your influence to help stop these people that have no regard for the animals' care.
Puppy mills for the most part are very bad news. Someone needs to put a stop to them before folks like myself start to take more action than just signing petitions. What they produce become everyone problem , not just those who adopt or buy. Puppy mill puppies end up in shelters and rescue more then privately bred babies. So now the time to Stand Up and Be Counted.
We need to stop the cruelty to the animals!! Animals have the right to be safe and unharmed and we need to do something to stop them from being hurt. please help!!
Oprah, following the Nov. 6, 2004 People Magazine article on young entrepreneurs in which they focused attention on one young man who operates a puppy mill. People like he and his family need to be exposed for what they are and what they are doing to the breeds they sell and the people who buy them. There is no care for these animals and the conditions that they live in is appalling. This was evidenced recently by a case in 2002 in San Diego County. After a raid on a home in San Diego County many dogs had to be euthanized as a result of the horific conditions that they had been living in. This happens all the time and this article in People Magazine only applauds this young man for making money as a puppy miller. Please, Oprah, do a piece on this sad business of exploiting animals.
Please investigate. You will be horrified to learn about these so called legal operations. I belong to a group that tries to rescue dogs from these places. Our voices are to small and not being heard.
We desperatly need a powerful voice in this issue. You are the one person that could expose this in the manner that is fair. And people will listen , they respect you. Please help us to help stop the abuse.

Please help the public to understand the agony these animals endure and the life they are left with after being sold from these horrid places! Help stop the misery!
