Oprah: I know you always strive to expose the truth whenever you see a bad or abusive situation. This is a bad and abusive situation. Lives are at stake. These poor animals live in deplorable conditions and are used and tossed aside without concern. We need to stop this NOW! Please help!!
As a hobby breeder, my puppies are born in my home with my family, the parents share our lives as full member of the household and no puppies are born before previously having screened the parents and many generations behind them for hip, elbows, heart, eye problems that may affect the puppies. It's cute to rescue a puppy from a puppy mill, but it encourages those Puppy Millers to continue breeding their parents like machines, caged, no interaction, affection or socialization. Please help us.
If anyone can get the word out on the horror of puppy mills I know you can Oprah. Please help inform the public as to what really happens to these poor dogs. I think even you would be shocked and appalled at the horror that so many of these dogs live with everyday.
I do Yorkshire Terrier rescue work and have seen for myself the appalling and inhumane way these mills treat living, sentient creatures as "product" instead of the loving & loyal companions they can and want to be. PLEASE help expose these greedy, money-grubbing, dogflesh monsters.
This is one of the most horrendous abuses of animals. We allow it to go on by buying puppies at pet stores, little knowing the horror behind the scenes. How can we allow this to happen to "man's best friend?"
Dear Oprah, Your life-goal seems to always have been to shine a light on the areas of humanity that are falling into the soup of the seven-deadly sins: pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth. You have been a voice of justice in a world that has become unjust in many ways.
Puppy Mills are a direct result of humanity allowing greed to become tolerable. Please, shine your light on this dark corner, and bring the puppy mills and the evil that they do to your court of knowledge. This horror should be abolished.

Puppymills are a horrible mistreatment of beautiful animals. They're suffering goes on for years and years. Please use your "power" to bring light to this horrible situation and STOP the abuse of these animals that are helpless.
As the owner of two dogs that get daily excersize and love, I cannot imagine the lives of dogs in Puppy Mills, nor do I want to. Any help would be greatly appreciated to expose such abuse.
Oprah, please help to expose this "industry". The best way to shut them down is for people to quit buying puppies & kittens from pet stores, flea markets or from the side of the road out of a pickup truck! With Oprah's infulence and abiltiy to educate the public in a non-fanatical, honest & carring way would do more good than all the animal rights groups put together. If no one buys them the puppy mills will shut down. They aren't in the business because they care about animals. They are only there because it pays!!!
"Out of sight, out of mind" is NOT the way to go. Their pictures & stories must be made public in order to stop the torture. It does my heart good to see so many others who care about the misery of these innocent creatures. Now, let's work together to end the torture. Oprah, your shows affect millions of people. Let this be your next one.
Am truly hoping that if these "puppy mills" are brought to everyone's attention, there would be less of them. Only Oprah can do this with her exceptionally large audience. Someone has to speak for the poor innocent animals. They do not have a voice by themselves.
THIS ISSUE REALLY NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BECAUSE THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF DOGS AND CATS THAT ARE PUT TO SLEEP VERY YEAR BECAUSE OF THE OVER BREEDING. Oprah: Please do a show on the puppy mills and how deplorable their conditions are. We must educate the public on these facilities and try to get them shut down.
This is a very serious issue, and the public needs to be educated. I know that Oprah's Team would do an excellant job of covering the conditions of Puppy Mills. This story could really help put an end to Puppy Mills.
