Please help show the general public the atrocities that occur daily in these places. I wholly believe that if everyone was given the knowledge that those of us in rescue have, puppy mills would lose their 'shoppers' and wither to nothing. Thank you!
You are in a position to reach such a wide audiance. Puppy missl are nothing more that jail cells for innocent helpless animals. DOgs are little poeple with fur, I have one and the thought of her living in such deplorable conditions, breaks my heart. It needs to stop NOW!
Oprah Please help in the exposing of the torture that these poor animals go through. Never having a loving hand to touch them. walking on wire, bleeding to death because they have no help, walking in their own waste, sleeping in it. Being out in the cold dropping dead because of deises and no vet help and then the puppies being sold for hundreds or thousands of dollars to line someones pocket. Please help us stop these animal abusers and prosacute them.
I hope, Oprah, that you can agree this puppymill situation needs some major media attention. Besides the unimaginable conditions that exist for the animals, there is another point that doesn't seem to get mentioned. The prices paid for these animals from the pet stores are much higher than would be from a reputable breeder. The sad fact is that in most cases they are paying for a genetically sick animal and more bills for care will follow. Everyone but the inhuman breeders loses.
The only way to put puppy mills out of business is to educate consumers about not buying puppies from a pet store. Hit the cruel and inhumane millers in the pocket and they will be forced to close. The public needs to know the truth about where the cute little pet store puppy actually comes from!
Please stop what is happening to these poor dogs! All this produces are dogs that are then left homeless in shelters. We have an overpopulation. Keep breeding to the professionals who do it from their homes in limited and controlled amounts!
Dear Oprah, As a pet lover yourself, we need to have your help to try to make people aware of the puppy mills who sell to pet shops. Trying to educate the public to please go to reputable breeders rather than to pet shops for their faithful companions would be greatly enhanced theough your help.
On behalf of anyone who has ever been touched by an animal's love. Oprah, I hope you will help expose the truth about Puppymills. These poor, helpless animals do not deserve this type of abuse.
Please consider making public this serious issue of life and respect. Many people have forgotten or have never been taught to love and honor all God created. What is a more noble cause than this?
Please help us eliminate this cruel and horrible way that our best friends are treated. We need to provide loving and forever homes for the millions of homeless pets that are discarded each year because they are not cute anymore or because they are in such poor health from mass overbreading.

I have been in the pet industry for 20yrs. In that time I have seen both the good and the horror. I respectfully implore you to be the voice for those furry critters that can't speak and expose the world to what puppy mills do. It is my hope that if enough of us yell loud enough we can change what is going on. As you have said many times; When you know better you do better. The pups of this world need better. =^..^=
This NEEDS to reach a wide audience. It is a problem that will not go away without mass public education. Dogs from mills affect families -- lack of temperment testing and temperment matching of the parents can yield unstable, sick and even dangerous dogs. This aside from any physical ailments propagated through poor, careless breeding. Please help stop this.

Puppy mills are horrible sad places for the animals there, and they contribute greatly to the homeless animal problem. Thousands upon thousands are killed each month in shelters because there aren't enough homes. Puppy mill dogs often end up in shelters due to behavior & health problems, and because it is so easy to go buy another cute fluffy puppy when the last one has been dumped at the pound because it grew bigger and chewed up the sofa!
Onwing and operating a puppy mill is a sick and cruel way to prey upon animal lovers, children especially. Dogs are NOT animals that should be kept by the hundreds in tiny cages with no companionship or love in their lives. We all know and agree that animals have feelings. Dogfs have been our faithful companions for years--it is time we stand up for them in their time of need.
Please do a show on puppy mills, you reach so many people, and have tackled so many important subjects...I know you are a dog lover too, you would be doing such a great service, for those poor dogs stuck in unlivable conditions. thanks...

I found an old sick pit bull on the side of a country road once. Turned out it was a breeding mom from a puppy mill. She was all used up so they ditched her. Sad. It's sad to see a 5 month old puppy in a pet store - imagine spending the first five months of your life in a cage with no one to play with!
My daughter and I groom dogs.Many, many dogs come from pet shops. They are more times than not, sick.We try to tell people but they think they are saving a life. This may be true but they are also are keeping Puppy mills in business.These people are cruel and need to be exposed.

My husband and I adopted a dog who was a breeder in a puppy mill. It would break your heart to see this poor, beautiful little girl and how terrified she still is even after 5 months of constant love and affection! Her paws are so sensitive from being yanked from her cage. She has no teeth because of the constant breeding. Puppy mills must be stopped so that other animals like our Mitzie will not have to endure such suffering.
Oprah, over the years you have shown yourself to be a woman that people respect and listen to. Please expose the horrors of puppy mills to the public and help end the agony that these poor animals experience. People WIll hear your voice. Please use it to help these helpless creatures.
People have no idea that all those pet store puppies come from puppymills!! These mills should be stopped and I believe you have the ability to show to the world what is being done!!
I recently took in a little dog, mixed breed. The owner wanted to breed Mollie and did not spay her. Maggie is a product of a puppy mill and God placed her with my three adopted daughters. Maybe God felt one more living creature in our home I could handle. Please help stop breeding of helpless animals and God Bless you for all the good you do for the masses.
Unsuspecting consumers drive this horrific business that relies on igorance and the shop window appeal of puppies to make millions of dollars selling sick animals.
This is NOT about legitimate breeders but mills who crank out puppies like they are inanimate objects, without reguard for thier comfort or welfare. If you ever see a mill it will make you sick: filthy dogs, some with sores and hair loss and ribs sticking out...it is horrific. Anyone who CAN help stop this should do so.
As an Owner of 5 dogs two were puppies born into my home, two are rescues and one was a gift i am a dear animal lover and try me hardest to help any animal that crosses my path. Please help bring the horror of puppy mills to the public's attention! There are millions of companion animals needing homes in shelters and rescues around the country. We do not need to be mindlessly breeding animals for profit while shelter animals die for lack of homes! Please help educate your viewers about these mills. These animals live in horrific conditions standing in wire cages in their own feces. We need to shut them down, as well as the pet shops that keep the ills in business. Please Oprah you are a very educated woman. You can educate so many who are unaware of these puppy factories. I get so many puppymill puppies into my dog rescue. I cant begin to tell you the health problems they have. The horror within the mills themselves it is a horrible life for these poor dogs to live this way.

My rescue regularly rescues dogs from puppy mills. It is all very sad, but we rehabilitate them and find them good homes. Please help our country understand the plight of these animals! If you do the show, they will watch. PLEASE!!!
