I hope you can do something about these so call interprises as it seems we have been trying to get something done for years. I belong to bloodhound rescue
I work with the Balwin Co. Humane Society in lower Alabama; also volunteering at our local animal control center. The shelter euthanized 865 animals in the month of July alone. There are thousands put down every year. These mills keep producing more and more animals , more than there are homes, and they end up at the shelter only to be euthanized. These animals didn't ask to be born, but they do ask for our help.Thank you for listening.

Oprah we need your help for these poor animals that cannot speak for themselves.The public needs to be made aware of these horrific puppy mills that exist. Stop the suffering once & for all.

Oprah- You are one of the most powerful voices in America. I know you love your pets. I work for a Schnauzer Rescue and help to pull these poor creatures from kill shelters, dieased...but not broken. It takes compassion and a lot of donations to help heal these animals bodies and restore their trust in humans. You alone can do what 1000s of us are trying to do on a daily basis... Educate the public at large. Expose the horrors and encourage rescue!

You have changed so many lives over the years because of your caring heart. Can you please help us defend helpless creatures that have no voice. So many people assume they are going to get a healthy great pet because its "purebred" and coming from a breeder. Many people do not realize the is a thing such as Puppy Mills. Puppy millers are NOT reputable breeders who take care of their animals, nor even really care about them. The bottom line for them is the money they get from the misery they breed. Please, Ms. Winfrey: help us stop this misery. Thank you.
Oprah, I do pug rescue and I see so much neglect and abuse from these mills. I get in the ones that have been used up and then thrown out They are usually so terribly sick from not having proper vet care, over bred, and so often blinded due to over crowding inmiserable cages . Please, help us help them. There is such a huge difference between good breeders and puppy mill breeders. One is for the love of the breed, the other is for the love of money, with little or no regard to the animal.

Please help the public get educated about bad dog breeders and puppy mills. Many puppies are put to sleep because the person who paid top dollar can not afford the hundreds to thousands in medical bills that are needed to fix the health issues that develope from breeders cutting corners in their breeding programe. Dog clubs have a Code Of ethics that they "ask" their members to follow but if they do not, the club does not enforce it. So as you can see, if a person wants a purebred dog, they need to be educated of the warning signs. I would be more than happy to help since I bought 3 Welsh Corgis from a bad breeder and run across others every day. Please Oprah, the dogs can not call 911 and ask for help, yet they are forced to have litter after litter, feel the hunger pains and cold weather, never feel the arms of love wrap around them and long for the day The Lord brings them back home!

I live in Sacramento they have just closed a puppy mill down for the second time. Half of the pups had parvo. It is unhumane to treat any animal this way. these places need some sort of regulation governing places like this. I hope and pray that someone to expose this travisty and do something about them. PLEASE PLEASE OPRAH HELP US OUT WITH THIS PROBLEM . You are blessed with telling and reveling bad things and help change things. please help us
Oprah-It's time to end the abuse. It can only end if people know the truth. You have the power to spread the truth - won't you do it for the dogs? Your influence alone could save thousands of animals. If you truly love dogs- please show them your love by exposing the Hell they are in. The dogs will be forever grateful- an so will animal lovers
Puppy mills are inhumane. They breed the dogs without regard for the animal's health. Most keep the dogs in squalor, only to be kept alive to make the puppy mill owners money. Puppies should be gotten only from SPCA-type facilities or directly from an AKC breeder.
Hopefully you can shed some light on how puppy mills operate and expose them for what they really are - money makers and no feelings for any of the animals the breed.
Please consider doing a show on animal mill breeders. You are a very powerful woman and when you speak everyone listens!Please educate the public about these puppy mills and pet shop puppies. We must do something now to help!!! Thank you sooo much and we love you Oprah!!!!
You can change the lives of thousands of miserable animals bread only to make $$$ for the greedy puppy millers. The public needs to be educated!!! Why buy when so many die??
Oprah, as a fellow dog lover; please help expose what really goes on in puppy mills. Cocker spaniels are one of the number one dog breeds being abused so inhumanely. Please publicize these operations on your show so the public will be aware of what is really going on!
Since puppy mills only breed for quantity and not quality, my sister impulse bought a schipperke puppy who made it to 10 and died this past week of every ailment a dog could possibly get. Naturally we loved the dog and all are heartbroken, but my point is, aside from the abuse AT the mills to the parent dogs, the puppies are not usually healthy dogs. I hope you will get the word out because everyone listens to YOU! Thanks!
Please, please help stop these people. It's so heartbreaking to see what many of us volunteers with rescue groups have seen...the very sad consequences of dogs bred in volume with no regard to the integrity of the breed or the condition of the dogs, especially the poor little female breeders. We need help to get the word out...will you please help us?
I was one of the lucky ones. My dog came from a private breeder. But I suspect that they are a puppy mill. Please Have a Heart and Educate People about this Subject!
I never knew about puppy mills until I got my Lab from a pet store and luckily she's ok but who knows how her littermates are doing and the others who are at the Kennel she came from!
