Like many others, I have rescued many puppymill dogs. You can't look at just the mills but also the auctions. Until dogs are no longer considered a commodity, things will not change. PLEASE help educate the people.
My rescue dog, came from a puppy mill, at 4 years old, had been allowed to defecate in own crate, never walked on a leash and clearly afraid of the outdoors! Had clearly experienced abuse, till she refused to nurse her litters and turned into a rescue agency. Stop Puppy Mills!

Please help stop these monsters from breeding these dogs and then disposing of them as though they are garbage, in face they treat them as garbage while they use them and use them and use them, they use them up, then kill them.......
Have one of your research assistants either attend a puppymill raid or review some of the stories and photos of the conditions these animals are kept in and what the breeding animals are put through. The only motivation to these people is $, not the welfare of the animals.
Puppy Mills -a form of animal abuse. These poor dogs cannot speak.We must fight for their rights! Breeding should be left to the professionals...AND THEY should limit litters of pups!!
I hope as an influential person you will help expose these horrible places. People can make a difference and this inhumane treatment needs to be stopped!

Oprah, I volunteer at the local humane society and I see so much horror against animals. What is so sad is that it is preventable to a degree. I live in the state known to be the worst for puppy mill proliferation. Please raise the consciousness of the public by doing a show exposing puppy mills. You will make a difference in the lives of so many pets.
Please exercise your infuence to expose this inhumane, profit-motivated practice. We know how much you care, and you have the resources to make this a very public issue. Please help.

Oprah, you'd not only be doing a great service to the dogs but also to unsuspecting people who often end up with sick or poorly bred puppies with physical problems throughout their lives.
Expose those puppy mills.. But please, make sure to sort the bad puppy mills from the responsible breeders out there.. The lines in many people's heads, especially the rescue outfits, PITA members, etc, out there is getting totally skewed to the point where people think breeding animals is automatically cruel... The difference between a caring and responsible breeder and the Puppy mills must be showen to the world..
Puppy Mills are a travesty, just above back yard breeders. My rescue and sanctuary is overflowing from the "throw away" mentality of people who buy a puppy from these money mongers. Please help!
