Oprah, your show is viewed by so many people that I think you could do a great service to the canine population! These poor animals live under such horrible conditions. They need the public to be aware! Please help stop this!
Oprah, I have two dogs rescued from puppy mills. On ewas very sick from teh butchering she endured through sloppy 'assembly line' c-sections. They were so negligent, they absent-mindedley left an unborn puppy inside of her to rot! Please help to expose the horrors of where "Mall pet store" puppes come from. My dog's story shows just how cruel it can be.
Oprah, I can think of no better way to reach and educate the general public about the horrors of puppy mills than for you to do a show about them. Please help these abused animals.

If ever there was a need for that, this one is it. I hope and pray that as a fellow animal lover, you will use your abilities to expose this problem and help shut these puppy mill operators down. dear oprah, you have the ability to reach vast number of people about this crisis in america. "puppy mills" are the backbone of the commercial dog breeding industry. many of these puppy mills are licensed by the untited states department of agriculture! having purchased/rescued 6 dogs from "puppy mill auctions", i can tell you first hand of the horrors these poor animals endure. the auctions i have attended are run by the amish. whne i spread the word to anyone that will listen, they are shocked that the "holier than thou" amish are involved in such travesty! you really need to do a show on the horrors of puppy mills. i can relate to you a story that has a very sad beginning and a very happy ending. it is about a puppy mill dog named rebecca. the poor dog didn't even know how to eat food from a dish when i rescued her. seeing is believing. we owe it to our canine friends to make the public aware of their plight. the first auction i attended, i was hoorified! all day i sat and watched these poor dogs handled like they were tomatoes from a garden. slammed onto a hard folding table and held up for the public to see. the auctioneer, an amish man, would say...now here is a fine gal. she is ready to make you some money! do your math people. think ofthe money your can make with this littel gal. she is ready to go! you can double your money in no time with this little girl! it is all about the amish greed!. they may denounce our modern ways, but the love the almighty dollar! all day i said to myself...hate the sin but not the sinner. by the end of the day, i said..."lord, you are really testing me today!" please, i am begging you on behalf of the thousands dogs trapped into this life style to expose the amish for wht they really do to gods creatures. they hide behind their religion and fool the general public by their greedy actions. remeber, the lord is keeping score and it is up to us to help these poor crea

I am not too extreme in a lot of these cases but I feel it would be good to expose some of the places. Legitimate puppy mills. From one pet owner to another.
Oprah - Too many pounds, shelters, and rescues are filled with unwanted animals, and puppymills are a major contributor to this problem. Numerous disorders plague puppymill offspring, causing blindness, deafness, hip dysplasia, epilepsy, and other painful and life threatening disesase and disorders. Please help inform and educate your viewers about the pain and suffering of the animals forced to bear litter after litter without regard to their health and the pain and suffering of their offspring. Please also encourage your viewers to adopt homeless and rescued animals, and not to purchase animals from puppymills or puppy stores where puppymill puppies are sold.
Please Oprah help us in the fight against puppy mills..these people should be exposed and put out of business..and people need to be aware of where puppys come from that are in pet stores and that come from brokers.
We have a friend who is a Vet and does check ups for the pet store at the Mall. He has had to destory puppies that came from these mills. He did sneak one home that was to be put down and spent a lot of time and money to give this lil' girl a good life.

Your help in bringing this important issue to the public's attention would be sincerely appreciated. There are too many pets who suffer needlessly at the hands of humans. Whether it is in puppy mills,dog fighting rings,or the poor souls who I see every day as a shelter employee who come to us beaten/abused/torchered/i njured/and abandoned by the people they loved/trusted. Please help by lending your powerful voice to the silent victims who are unable to speak for themselves.

My puppymill rescue came to me with these UNTREATED (by the puppymillers) injuries--broken jaw,back injury,4 cancerous tormors,urinary tract infection,and a mouth full of rotten teeth that all needed to be pulled-after two years, she is still scared to death of men. She was bred in every heat,for years,in this condition! Please stop this kind of crulty and expose these heartless people!
Aside from the suffering that puppy mill dogs must endure, the unsuspecting potential owners are also victims. Please help educate these folks about the horrors of the mills and to help lead them in the right directions in getting a pet. Promote the animal shelters, rescue organizations and reputable breeders
This is a national disgrace (Puppy Mills). Millions upon MILLIONS of dogs are euthanized daily, and it is usually because of overpopulation resulting from irresponsible pet owners AND "Puppy Mill".
Oprah, you are respected and admired throughout the world. Your attention to this horrible situation would make a huge impact! The dogs desperately need your help. Rep. Ed Whitfield from KY has proposed a bill to stop the overbreeding in puppy mills, you could ask him to be on the show. Thank You!
Oprah.... if you could only see the conditions these pups come from. It is the most outrageous disgusting thing I have ever seen. Most of my pets come from puppy mill/ backyard breeders and they always have tons of health problems. I had one english bulldog diagnoses with arthritis in her spine at the age of 3 months, this is all do to poor breeding. People need to be educated, they don't purposely buy these animals they just don't know. Pet stores are one of the main puppymill suppliers in the country and people just assume they come from great breeders. However no true ethical breeder who had the health of the dog in mind would sell to a store, only breeders who see dollar signg sell to stores. Please Ophra, use your power and influence to help us educate people about puppy mills and stores. Thank you for your time and please consider this show.

Oprah, please help expose puppy mills. So many people do not realize they may be perpetuating this horror by buying puppies from them, nor are even aware that these horrors exist.
hundreds of dogs stuffed in barns. (Many in Amish barns). They are cold in the winter, hot in the summer, poorly cared for, and overbred. The mother dogs are never groomed; their nails unclipped, so they grow back into the feet. The puppies are taken away from their dams too early to learn the social canine skills they need, and often they become ill. They are trucked by the hundreds cross country to pet stores where they are sold at outrageous prices to unsuspecting pet lovers. Many of these dogs have serious physical problems. Some have emotional problems and become aggressive or unable to bond to anyone. But the money exchanges hands and no says anything on behalf of the dumb creatures who cannot speak for themselves. I know, becauxe I am the grateful owner of a puppymill mother who spent the first five years in a puppy mill. She was afraid of everyone, afraid of the wind, the grass, of life.
She cowered at any human contact and would flinch at any fast movement made near her. She is a survivor; a good hearted dog who has forgiven the world for her first five years.
