If anyone can get the public to see truth about puppy mills ...it's Oprah! PLEASE help our cause! I fight to stop PMs ...and have rescued many illbred dogs! They had very short lives and terrible health problems ...and suffered for the financial gain of cruel humans!
It is so hard to stand by when animals are being abused. But one person can only do so much. Oprah, you are one person that can really make a difference. Please do.
Since you are such an animal lover and you are in the spotlight, it would only be fitting for you to expose the puppy mills to all who watch your show. Those POOR dogs and the squalid conditions in which they live, the sickness that these dogs and puppies possess is unacceptable and MUST be stopped. I have been teaching dog training classes for 28 years and have been trying to educate the people on WHERE AND HOW to properly obtain a healthy, happy dog from a reputable breeder. They still continue to buy puppies from these irreputable people and establishments. Please help the ANIMALS by exposing these attrocities !!
Dogs are NOT cattle and continue to be raised as such - a cash crop !! PLEASE HELP !!

I just hate people that do this. They make my blood pressure get sky high and I want to well you can guess what I want to do to them. This needs stopped. My blood boils over this.
Oprah, these little guys need a voice, who better than you. You have made a difference for many people, please help our little fur persons escape the cruel world they have been sentenced to live in! I pray God will give you a burden to help put an end to these animal concentration camps.
I have so much to say on the matter but I am too busy . Too busy trying to clean up the mess of death and/or pain and suffering of these poor companion animals caused by puppy mills. My days are spent at the shelters and/or home trying to pull and place before their time is up. I now have minimal time at my paying job. For this I also resent puppy mills. 99% of the public is lied to or unaware of how their puppy came to be. They are unaware of how horrific it's first few weeks of life have been and it could be considered lucky (or unlucky) to have lived to make it to the Pet Shop. Also that it's parents (who are probably its brother and sister) are still in those horrific conditions until.....
It takes national exposure to begin to make a difference in any issue. Oprah, please, make a stand for these most helpless creatures. We need your voice, we need your power.
There is no reason that this should not be exposed to the public. To avoid the issue is to promote this sort of behavior. It might not be the most delightful topic for a television show, but that's all the more reason to talk about it. It's disgusting - and that's why it needs to stop.
I ended up rescueing a dog at 14 mos who was traced back to a puppy mill. This is a very timely subject and worthy of a program. Thank you for your consideration.
Oprah comes across as a "real" animal lover. You would think that by now, everyone would know about the horrors of pet shop dogs and puppy mills. Yet, it amazes me as a dog trainer that there are so many people that still don't know where these dogs come from and the conditions that they endure.
Oprah reaches so many people that just one show on the subject will enlighten millions of viewers. Please consider doing a show on this topic. Yes, it is a depressing subject, but the dogs deserve a chance, and I believe that Oprah can give these dogs their chance.
If you have ever witnesses the rescue of animals from a puppy mill, it would break your heart, and make you angry, help educate people about this sordid business
Please give this your attention Oprah.They really need to stop this. It is so terrible the way some have to live, then die. No love what so ever. Sad situation.
These puppy mills can be so cruel and deadly to so many dogs. May I tell you of a few in Nebraska? A puppy mill was interbreeding Australian Sherherds to get a certain colored eyes. Well, the puppies of this batch ended up being deaf and blind. Did the mill find homes for these poor pups or find them homes? No. They dumped them on the side of the road where two of them were hit and killed by cars passing by. Three of them one of our volunteers heard of and picked them up. We have found homes for all three of them. There are so many pups that have such more horrible fates. Can't you help us expose this crime and save these poor pups and the dogs they use for breeding over and over and then butcher when they can't breed anymore?
Please, Oprah, you are such a voice for this nation. The nation needs to know what goes on in these horrible places. Can you imagine your cockers or your goldens condemned to a life of sickness and filth? To reproduce over and over and over again until they die? PLEASE give a voice for those who cannot speak. The theme of this season's show is "Wildest Dreams Come True," it would be a dream come true for the dogs who suffer in puppy mills nationwide to get a chance to be shown the love they deserve. My own rescued dog is from a puppy mill and I can see that she lived a hard life and I see the joy she exhibits now. Please, please, please expose this dreadful practice on your show so that all those people who are looking for a puppy will not go to a puppy mill and perpetuate this horrible business practice. Puppy Mills dont think of the puppies..and any of the side effect reputable breeders are trying to remove from breeds like hip displacier etc! They dont even think about the puppies mother..just breed one season after the other to make money. There are so many abandoned dogs to be adopted. Maybe a show like yours with so many viewers we may be able to get the message across.
Please align yourself to this cause! I'm sure you know it is a call from your spirit guide's. Share your inner light with the public, as you have so many times in the past.
Please help these emotionally and physically abused dogs and puppies!! Their lives are sooooo miserable!! They have never known affection or how wonderful life can be and that is just too sad for words!! Can you imagine your dogs living in this horrible situation?? Please help!!!!!
AS a trainer I know of the physical and behavioral issues that Puppy milled dogs can have. Education eliminates ignorance to this increasing problem. I think it would make for a very interesting and enlightening show.

These places are horrible and need to be shut down. Please, Oprah, tell people about them so laws can be passed. Dogs are like children. We must protect them since they can't protect themselves.

The initiator of this petition said that 3 emails were sent to the editors of your show regarding doing a show on the subject of puppy mills. I am most certain those emails must have never made it to your desk, for if they had we would not all be sitting here now signing this petition. Expose Puppy Mills. These are not benefitting society in anyway. There is no reason to buy a dog when hundreds of puppies are abandoned each year and placed into animal shelters.
