Oprah, My husband and I got a call into our rescue in Eastern Kentucky and went to check out a complaint we received....there were 2-3 Yorkies per (med)crate and there were 8-10 crates lined in a row....I'm wanting to shut them down, but don't have room for the 180 dogs that need taken...there are 3 family members down the same road with 50 or more dogs each...Please help us expose this problem!!!
Since Oprah has so many movie stars on, and many of them are dog lovers, I am sure they would be pleased as are we..lovers of dogs. Please, Please expose these mills.Oprah has a big heart, I know she would want to help stop this cruelty.
It is well known that you love dogs! I believe that with the influence and voice that you have you could educate the public to the horror of pet store dogs who are bred in puppy mills. Think of all the homeless animals that you could save with this gift of knowledge. Thanks.
Please have a show with this topic. People need to understand by buying these dogs from pet stores they are supporting a very cruel and inhumane act. Those puppies do not deserve to sit in cages and their parents do not deserve to be bred to death!
this would be such a wonderfull thing if you would become involved in our mission to rescue all dogs in this terrible situation. I personally belong to a rescue, and have fostered and placed in wonderfull adoptive homes several dogs who have come from 'puppy mills'. these poor souls were all thin, and had many different problems, both physical and mental, but are now in wonderfull forever homes. Please help us!!!!!

The Oprah Show has an unbelieveable capacity to educate. Please, use that capacity to educate about the damage done to millions of dogs through the irresponsibility of many breeders. There will always be those who, in spite of the millions of dogs euthanized each year, will want a purebred puppy. I accept that. People should also look into adopting a puppy. I did I adopted a pure breed Great Dane. Just because some dogs need to be adopted does not mean there is something wrong with them. My Dane was a casualty of a divorce. Educate them as to how to ensure they are purchasing an emotionally and physically healthy puppy. And make them aware of the suffering they participate in when they purchase from a pet store. Make them aware of the failure of our government to regulate breeders.Please help the public understand.
Puppy mills and the people who profit from them need to be stopped. Stuffing live animals into teeny tiny quarters to breed in an effort to make lots of money shouldn't be allowed in our country.It is a multi million dollar business that quietly operates behind our backs. As puppies die they are simply replaced with another. This is simply inhumane! Please help us expose the terror these young puppies go through daily. You have the power Oprah and we need you.

The mills do not take the responsiblity of the behavioural difficulties these creatures develope. Thus creating an animal every day humans do not know how to deal with. Then we see the dogs either put into the Humane Society or destroyed.

Please Oprah open the eyes of people who dont know what puppy mills are. Pet stores sell millers puppies for outrageous prices and the buyers end up with sick puppies. We need to make people aware.
Oprah, this has become a seriously growing concern of poeple like us who are dogs lovers and responsible pet owners. Breeds such as mine (Pembroke Welsh Corgis) are now being outlawed in countries like Italy. Which is unbelievable to me. Puppy Mills are promoting these bands because of the total disregard to quality breeding. The over population in just dogs (not to mention cats) is overwelming. WE NEED HELP to education poeple so we can put these Puppy Mills out to business!! THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

I have done dog rescue for 15 years and house up to 80 unwanted dogs each month. These poor animals are treated as though they are stuffed toys. I'd love to see the puppy mills become a thing of the past.
Please Oprah! Expose these people who abuse these dogs. Too many puppies come from these mills with health problems and the owners usually give them up the the shelters are rescue because the Vet bills can be too much to handle.
I think The Oprah Show is one of the best tools for educating the public. Please do an investigative report of these places. There are so many things to uncover!
Oprah - Please expose these puppy mills to the general public and let your viewers know that if they want to adopt a pet, that there are plenty of abandoned and abused animals with rescue groups and city shleters that are eager to find loving homes.

I used to work in a place that sold puppies and we were brainwashed into believing that they were supplied from reputable licensed breeders. One day thank goodness I woke up and quit. the only way to stop the mills is to stop the pet stores from selling pups. There are thousands of sick puppies sold in stores every day and ive even seen some die in the store I used to work in. I was young and impressionable but its no excuse for looking at the situation with blind eyes. Please help them, oprah!
I have done rescue for many years...and I cannot tell you how many puppy mills we have in this country...that are never shut down because the govt. just cannot get enough on them...always on the edge of the correct side of the law.. Please educate the people so that they stop buying animals from pet stores...puppy mills supply these stores...the more bought the more breed.
I'm part of a husky rescue and this is a huge problem for many, mnay breeds. I know you love animals. Please use your voice to help those that can't speak for themselves.
