It's heartbreaking,all the people that are responsible for Puppy Mills should be put away for a LONG TIME.The very thought of the condition of these animals makes me physically sick.This issue needs way more worldwide attention and it needs to stop.So many people respect and listen to you, I am 25 yrs old and your show about how important it is to vote inspired me to help my country.I truly believe if you bring attention to this horrific problem,it will help.I can't think of a better, more respected person to help with this worldwide issue that needs IMEDIATE ATTENTION!Thank you for all you do.God Bless :)

Puppy millers could care less about the health and temperment of pups. So many with poor hralth that leads to heartache of byeres as well as the suffering of these innocent babies. We need to stop them. It about the amighty $$$$.

With or without oprah we need to forge ahead against this type of abuse! I'm a Newfoundland breeder on long island and it's our duty, not Oprah's to make this known. I agree the exposure she'd generate would benefit greatly, but we shouldn’t and won’t stop there. I’m offering my services to create a website (that’s what I do, Microsoft Instructor), setup rallies, go door to door, call for inspections and investigations to pet stores, film and display what happens to these dogs so the public actually “sees” what damage is inflicted, setup a sting operation, lobby for tougher laws and penalties. Lets organize, set a plan and execute it we conviction.

Puppymills all come down to man's greed at the expense of animals who are treated in a cruel manner and under horrific conditions. There are many beautiful healthy animals at shelters who are just waiting for good homes, pure breeds, as well as mixed.
Just think, if your 2 dogs were being used as puppy making machines - kept in a cage, standing in their own feces with no hope of any help. Please look into the plight of the animals in puppy mills and help stop this abuse.
These dogs really are in bad condittions and often don't live long. The lives that they do lead are often sad ones. Most pet shops get their dogs from Puppy mills.
Oprah! I have seen & helped customers who have purchased puppies from local people who have puppy mills. One thing that people do not know/see are truly what condition these mills are in. How dirty they are & what illness spread through puppy mills. People purchase these puppies, get them home & then the puppies get sick, some for life & some even die. The puppy mill breeders need to be stopped & stronger guide lines & standards need to be in place. I have no issue, with someone who breeds canine companions if they are doing it correctly & safe. Who take care of the adult breeders & also the pupies. In most cases these adult breeders are placed in cages/kennels with wire floor, so that the droppings fall threw the wire, are not kept clean, have poor living conditions & some do not ever leave their cages or know what it is to play & be loved, even go out side. Someone in your position & education with such voice could help increase the BAR as to what needs to happen to help go foward with this battle. General Manager with a Pet retail company.
I work at an animal shelter and see the tragic end result of puppy mills. We deal both with the prosecution of animal cruelty cases and the sheltering of unwanted animals. The operators of puppy mills are not responsible breeders -- they think of their animals as money machines and nothing mnore. Due to their poor breeding practices, not only do they perpetrate animal cruelty, but they also create genetic problems in the anmals they inbreed and overbreed. lease help stop this.

The use and abuse all animals suffer at the hands of man is appalling. If people of influence and power turn their backs, what hope is there that the cruelty and suffering can ever end?
