I have been your fan since the start! If anyone can stop these people it probably is you. You inform millions a day, and I think we can stop this. I know that you are a fellow dog lover because I have seen your little cuties!!!!!

Oprah, I am one of your biggest fans. I respect and admire what you do for people in need and I know your heart is just as big for the animals in need.
I am the Vizsla (Hungarian Pointer) Rescue coordinator for Colorado/Wyoming, southern NE and western KS. I have only seen the tip of the iceberg in puppy mill abuse, my assistant in KS has been involved in puppy mill raids to shut them down. She has seen the worst examples of cruelty and abuse.
I recently have rescued about 27 cats so far this year.
I could go on an on, but better to leave it at this for now.
Please help the helpless animals from greedy humans.
Puppymills must be exposed. So many people hear the words but they really don't know what the mills do to the "breeding dogs" and the conditions they live in. They don't know that the cute puppy that they bought was the result of cruel, cruel practices and neglect of the puppy's mom and dad. Please help people understand that they reinforce people's greed for breeding in poor conditions -- but unintentially allow poorly bred, sick, and malformed puppies since the puppy mill owners don't care about the health of any animals -- they just want the money.
I have 4 dogs, and i couldnt see them not getting the love and affection they get everyday. This puppies need help, they are like infants! they are helpless and defenseless! They need our help! Please , please Oprah help us?
I can't imagine any dog lover like you Oprah not wanting to expose these people for the horrible people they are. They are worse than child molestors because there helpless victims can't call for help. I have 4 "kids" of my own all were stray or adopted and they are the best things in my life. The very idea of using puppies as just 'inventory' is more than disturbing, Oprah. Did you know that Lancaster County PA's Amish do this?? They shun 'the English' and yet 'manufacture' pets to sell them to us! I can't understand a faith that condones this atrocity!
You reach many millions with your show. Please use your influence to expose these people and teach pet purchasers how to find the careful breeders who aren't in it for money.
Doing transport for rescued puppies from pounds, I have witnessed many of these puppies showing up in pounds after a few months. These puppies are not well and are sadly wondering just why they are there. People just don't take the time to train a young dog and they end up in the pounds. We need to stop this practice. All life in important, animal as well as human.
Oprah, I run a Non For Profit, No Kill Shelter in Mt. Vernon, Il., it was a story about a dog, "I NEVER KNEW HER NAME", a puppy mill breeding *****, who died while still trying to take care of her 6 babies.
Your 2 pups were lucky to get you - millions of other are not so fortunate - plse help us who care.
Oprah, As the fantastic, loving person I know you are, please help to expose these puppymills, and help inform the public about the horrific life these helpless animals live. It will indeed make you sick when you look into the eyes of these beautiful spirits that have been broken by the greed of humans. I rescue deaf and or blind aussie's , many of them have been dumpted by these breeders, knowingly, because they know they cannot sell them. These are wonderful animals that want nothing more that to love and be loved. Two of the specials that I have adopted are now certified therapy dogs, and visit hospitals, childrens homes, nursing homes and schools, bringing smiles to those humans so in need of the unconditional love that only dogs seem to be able to give.Please help expose these greedy humans, for the inhumane treatment of the animals that God has put in our care, we are caretakers of these animals, not their torturers, for the sake of the all mighty dollar.

Please expose this abuse! Not only is it outrageous in its own right, but, sadly, people often pay more for the puppies and kittens of millers than they would for carefully-bred puppies and kittens.

My neighbor's dog was bred so many times, her teats hung to the ground swollen and red year round even when not nursing. This was abuse of the mother dog just to make some money. I guess money takes precedence.

Dear Oprah,
I am a volunteer at an animal rescue group located in Arlington Heights, IL called The Buddy Foundation. We get calls and emails daily about animals in need. So many of these wonderful creatures are euthanized daily due to overpopulation. The puppy mills in operation care nothing for the animals they are producing. Many of these poor creatures live in abhorent conditions and their off-spring are the poor results of uncaring human beings. They have health and behavioral issues and many end up being euthanized or abandoned.
Please help by investigating and exposing these evil people and making sure the public is aware of this problem. I know that prior to being involved with rescue, I never know about this issue.
People who exploit and abuse animals for profit in this way also cost our society by contributing to pet overpopulation and badly-bred animals who are often sickly or ill-tempered. And since the animals are placed with no regard for the kind of home they're going to, the puppies and kittens bred in this way are sometimes ill-placed with people who can't or won't keep them past babyhood, who don't spay or neuter them, or who neglect or abuse them.
I see too many dogs roaming the back roads where I live that have been dropped off because the people who owned them didn't want them anymore. Please help stop the puppy-mill practice and give some of these poor animals a chance for a home.
I have 2 dogs of my own and I would be devastated if anything every happened to them. I feel so sad for these puppies that need a home and someone to love them. Please help them to live a better life.
Oprah, your voice is heard. Please speak for the poor Mothers left in cages 24/7, having litter after litter of puppies with no love, socialization, medical care or even a clean place to lay.
The horror of puppy mills are a well kept secret of greedy people who breed for profit only. Please help educate the public about them. Education is the only way to put an end to the suffering of millions of innocent lives.

This practice and treatment of animals should be considered criminal. They are abused, neglected, malnourished, unhealthy and many of the pups will end up homeless or in kill shelters. No animal should be treated this way! Please help put an end to it.
Oprah, people do not realize when they buy a pup from a pet store, flea market, etc. they are supporting puppy mills. The 'papers' the millers give out are worthless name registeries and people believe they have a 'papered pup'. These pups often end up in shelters due to genetic/inherited health and behavioral problems.
It's a cycle we need to break!
Until the public sees what really goes on in pupy mills AND it stops becoming profitable for the breeders, it will never stop. Please help us make that happen!

Even without puppymills, our country is overrun with unwanted animals. In addition to the horrible abusive conditions these dogs endure, the puppies simply aren't needed. This IS NOT an effort to ruin pet stores. Some of them are also very involved in our cause. This IS an effort to educate. How can "education" be wrong? Please help us!
I know how much you love animals and you have such a loud voice in the media. Please help these animals from the hellish conditions that they must live their young lives in.....exposing the truth to where all these "cute puppies in the window" come from is what the public needs to see....the animals can't speak for themselves we need to stand up for them.
Oprah, You are one of the most caring people in this world. I hope you will consider helping to educate the public about commercial breeders (puppy mills) and pet stores that enable these "so-called breeders" continue their business practices.
I work with a couple of Cairn Terrier rescue programs and see first hand the problems that face these poor souls. We have had to euthanize several Cairn rescue dogs in the last couple of years because of behavorial problems. We are talking young dogs that are viciously attacking people and other dogs. There are also many physical problems that come from these commercial breeders. You see, they really don't care if a pup has a genetic problem, they just continue to breed and breed the same dogs, year after year. Their bottom line is THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR.
A reputable breeder spends time, energy, and money in their breeding programs. They do research on, not only pedigrees, but possible health issues and temperament testing. A reputable breeder is interested in producing a well-structured, healthy, happy, and socialized pup that will be loved for years and years.

Granted, if you were to ask for a tour of a commercial breeding facility, they would ONLY show you their "show area". You would never see the REAL operation.

Hello, i do fostering and animal rescues in my area < Pgh,Pa..There are alot of concerns here that need addressed. Lets also not leave out dog and cat owners either having id tags or microchipping your animals. so we can help return these precious pets back to thier owners. I am so tired of removing pets off the side of the road dead and myself and my groups wondering who they may belong too.
Dogs are such specail animals. Please, help us make sure they are treated that way. My dog was adopted from a rescue group and she is the most wonderful & loving animal.But she was one of the lucky ones. Pets were made for us to love and for thm to love us, not breed cash crops.
