Oprah -- I am a rescuer of MinPIns, many of whom have spent their lives as breeding machines in cages barely big enough to turn around in. Some have never known a loving human touch, seen the sun or played on grass, some have feet deformed from the time spent on wire. Please help us expsoe the cretins who exploit man's best friend as well as man himself!
Puppy mills only worsen the situation of all dogs in our country. With so many loving healthy dogs to choose from it is a shame that companies sell unheathy dogs as status symbols.
Too many people have NO idea where the puppies that are sold in pet shop's come from - they NEED to know. I would be willing to anything the shut these places down!!! I will forward this to as many people as possible - thanks for caring enough about these precious animals. I commend you.
Imagine your 14 yr old daughter locked in a tiny room, fed poor quality food and dirty water. Now imagine her being forced to copulate and bear a child in those conditions with poor nutrition. Now imagine her baby being torn from her arms and having this nightmare happen again and again until her body just can't sustain itself and she dies. Now you know what the dogs in a puppy mill endure. Oh, I forgot to mention the sires who live in similar conditions with no room to stand erect or exercise, whose legs are bowed and backs are bent. Please help!
This has been an on going fight. If anybody can get the word out, this is the person to do it.I just don't know if her audience can handle the conditions that they might be seeing. It would rally open some eyes and make people think. before they buy.
The poor little puppy mill dogs who have miserable lives and breed unhealthy pups in order to fill the popular demand for purebred dogs.Pls expose this horrible bsusiness & explain how a good dog is bred and cared for.
I know a petition is maybe not the best way to get Oprah's attention with regard to pupymills, but if someone with the influence, heart and compassion of Oprah Winfrey can make a small portion of the public aware of this blight on our society!! We need to target the public because they are they ones that keep these people in business. We are such an "instant gratification" society. People have to learn some discipline!!

I have saved one of my dogs from a puppy mill. He was one of 45 "Chi's" that was born into a filthy home to one of their "pure breeds". Needless to say he's mixed with all sorts of other breeds. But honestly, he's the best friend I've ever had, he's such a little lover. Please help other lovers like him. Thank You for your time.
Please close the puppy mills. I am the owner of a DEAF dog who is a product of a puppy mill. She was purchased as a puppy from a pet shop. Investigation reviewed she was from a PA puppy mill.PLEASE DO SOMETHING.

Oprah, help us expose the puppy mills. I have seen first hand the horrible conditions that these babies live in. The parents of the puppies are so scared of humans most of the time that it is pitiful. The will sit in cages and spin. They live in their own feces until someone, if they ever, decide to clean the cages. Lets stop puppie mill!! Oprah you can help!!!!!!!!! The puppies will be ever grateful!
I believe it is an important issue to discuss and educate people on. Puppy mills not only have dogs living in filth and poor conditions, but the uneducated people that buy their puppies from them also have to go through the expences of vet bills and the heart ache of losing a pet at a young age. I hope you will find this issue worthy of your show. So people will at least be able to make an educated decition if they want to purchase a puppy mill puppy or not.
Puppy Mills are really horrible, and so unnecessary. There are enough puppy's in shelters that need good homes. Please help people realize adoption through a shelter is definetly a better option than buying from a puppy mill !
A life should be valued the same no matter human or animal! When we buy from a pet store-we are allowing these mills to continue! There are SO many shelters with wonderful dogs in need of a forever home! Support shelters and get rid of Puppy Mills!

please help to expose these people who care less about the happiness and well being of the dogs they breed and the poor puppies born to them and are only out for the money made off the suffering of another living creature.
Evil is exposed in the world every day...people who sell drugs, people who kill, etc. Why are puppy mils any different? They are hideous death camps for animals to live a life of abuse, neglect, sorrow and pain. We would want this exposed if this were our human children...why can we not bring to light and educate people on the horrors our four footed children go through? Being a sensitive woman in many aspects of the world, I know you will do the right thing by putting on a show about stopping this puppy trade.Or at least an informative show telling your dedicated viewers the truth on what pet store puppies are all about and to promote the adoption of homeless animals. We hope your eyes and ears are open to our plea and I am sure that many people who petitioned with me would be happy to do whatever you ask for help to make the show a success. Please show everyone who you really are....
