After welcoming an AKC Inspector to our kennel, it is obvious that "they" soon will be doing something about fraudulent paperwork. Now all kennel dogs must be DNA'd and that's where it's going to stop. Those of us who are very careful breeders, welcome anything that you can do to help.

I live near Amish country and they are one of the biggest puppy mills in the United States. I do Cairn Terrier rescue and half the dogs come from there.

Oprah, I know you are a caring person. Please give this subject some consideration for a future show; it is definitely deserving of your time. Many people aren't aware of the horrors that occur in the name of producing the puppies they see in some (not all) of the pet shops around the country. It truly is, in many instances a "Concentration Camp" situation, where the dogs aren't considered to be living, feeling individuals, but just machines to create more puppies, often malnourished and diseased, for the market. Your audience base is primarily caring, sensitive women, and if made aware, we CAN make a difference. Thanks.
Oprah and producers: I've been a huge Oprah fan since I first had the pleasure of watching her show while visitng my fiance's family in Chicago in the early 1980's. I was thrilled when her show finally was syndicated here in Atlanta, GA. Her ability to reach so many people and the topics she covers has done much to improve our society and to help many individuals in this world. She could have a major impact upon the welfare of helpless animals crammed into filthy crates with and giving birth constantly by exposing the horrors and filth of Puppy Mills. Please, consider airing such a show. I'm sure the Humane Society of the United States will be glad to tell you how horrible Puppy Mills are and to enlighten anyone not in the know to their existence. I have seen how these animals are treated, I have a winnie dog I saved from a Puppy Mill, It breaks my heart to think of how these animals are treated, We as a society need to outlaw this. It is a felony to miss treat your animals in Georgia, So why not make it a felony every where and make these people pay for there crimes.Please help Oprah, if anyone can you can.

I'm not against breeding purebred dogs, but I am against doing it in a way that disregards the welfare of the animals for the sake of money. Oprah, please help us!

Man was put on this earth to protect it and all living creatures. Puppy mills are wrong and against God's plans. They are plenty of pets who need to be adopted without making more. We as a nation can stand together and stop anything!!!!!
