I think that people really should know about this. Yes there have been some shows about it in the past. But not enough to open someones eyes on what is going on. If Opra were to do the show people really would listen, because of her reputation.

The only way to stop this inhumanity is to stop the demand!! Please speak for these animals who are suffering horribly by being forced to produce litter after litter until they are no longer able to go on. Puppy stores are a horrible place to purchase a loving pet!! Do any of them seem like happy animals? They don't even know how to play. They are not in a loving, socialized environment, were probably pulled from the litter and their mother too early in life, they are behind bars, and for all this you will probably pay more for the animal than if you purchased from a reputable breeder.
Puppy Mills is pure animal cruelty. There is no consideration for the well-being of these animals as their sole purpose in the breeder's eyes is profits.
Oprah, please educate the public of the misery, greed and inhumane ways of puppy mills. The public values and respects your viewpoints. And we all know how you love your dogs and the joy they give you.

We are in a dire state of distress when you read the classified ads every day and what do you see, "pit bulls" for sale. Thousands are put down on a daily basis. Someone needs to step in and control the breeding population whether it be pit-bulls or whatever breed. Please help Oprah. You have a huge impact on the American public.
Find one and do a surprise visit. We won't have to "ask" you to do a show you'll be compelled to do a show. The one I encountered haunts me to this day. PLEASE
Please help us to end this horrible practice. We do what we can to support rescue efforts but if you expose this to the nation--if you use your influence to help shut the puppy mills down our rescue efforts won't be so overwhelming and heartbreaking. Thank you
Oprah, if we don't get those puppy mills undercontrol, PETA will be successful in their aggressive and IMO criminal pursuit of stopping even legitimite breedings of pure bred dogs by ethical and conciencious breeders.
Your help could be the end of "rescue" volunteers' nightmares. We have constantly taken in dogs that have no hope and have been treated with cruelty and neglect. We are all God's creatures and even the dogs need a little help once in awhile. Thanks for listening...

Dear Oprah...Please help those that cannot help themselves...puppy mill dogs of all breeds.Think of your own pets..they are so lucky to have a loving home, care and treated the way puppy mill dogs deserve, They do not ask to be born, we bring them into the world and are therefor responsible for their care, now and in the future. Please help Oprah.
Unfortunately, puppymills are nothing new and have been around for years...and will be unless people wake up and realize just how cruel, inhumane, and downright disgraceful they are. My parents and I both have the products of puppy mills....DEAF dogs. We love our babies unconditionally, but not all dogs with "defects" are so lucky...most are killed because they aren't real money makers or the unscrupulous breeder will perpetuate the defect by breeding the dog, as was the case with my parents' dog. These dogs are kept in unimaginable and unacceptable conditons, totally starved for human contact, and many, to plainly put it, go insane! These animals did nothing to deserve such treatment. In most states they are considered Personal Property, not living beings who feel pain or fear or sadness. We need the help of someone in the public eye...someone the puplic respects and what better person to ask for help then OPRAH, a fellow animal lover!
Oprah, you are such a compassionate woman. I know that you would help the poor dogs who are bred into such a horrible life. We must expose this so that people learn NOT to buy dogs from the pet store. No matter how cute they appear to be.
I recently read about a 7 year old rescued golden retriever used in puppy mills for breeding purposes. Besides a ton of health problems from poor living conditions, they thought he was deaf. It turned out he wasn't, he just didn't respond to people because nobody had ever talked to him before.

OPRAH: You are one of the most, if not the most influential woman on television today. You have the power to create a Number 1 Bestseller by simply promoting it on your show. You have shared your wealth with many and I applaud your efforts. The topics on your show have covered a wide range of topics but never anything involving the despicable puppy mill trade, the exploding population of dogs and cats, the disgustingly high numbers of animals being euthanized each day, or the unfortunate daily incidences of animal abuse. You appear to be a compassionate, caring and loving person. If I remember correctly you yourself have several dogs. Imagine the dogs you love living in a puppy mill, or being a product of a mill. Imagine your female dog being kept in a backyard cage and being bred and bred, litter after litter and then discarded after serving her "purpose." These puppies are transported daily on our highways in trucks backed high with cages with poor ventilation. There have been too many instances where these puppies are not fed, given water or allowed out to relieve themselves while being transported, and unfortunately there have been instances where the puppies have died. One driver stopped overnight during a hot, humid summer night and did not open his truck or feed or provide water to the puppies. The puppies died. We need to bring and end to this trade. Oprah, I beg you to have your research department investigate this issue and I believe you will find yourself disgusted if not physcially sick from what you learn. I feel that you will be compelled to bring national attention to the puppy mill industry. This is a topic that needs to be brought to the national level and to attention of our lawmakers. Please, Oprah find out the horrors of the puppy mills at www.prisonersofgreed.org. It is a very sad story that was featured on Dateline I believe about the horrible lives that puppy mill dogs live in the filthy inhumane conditions that they live in day after day... also without heat or air conditioning many times and live in each other's excrement as many of the cages have wire bottoms and the puppy's feet as well as the mother's and dad's become raw from walking on the wire of the mesh cages.. their testes become raw from sitting in their own waste.. their feet become raw from the cold and we have seen cases of frostbite..not only that they also use a rod to break their larynx.. they shove it down their throat and then hit it with a hammer.. so sad..and many times they break their jaw in the process. I belong to Puppy Mill Rescue and there is a dog on there named Emmy that has suffered horrible abuse and is just now coming around.. she was unadoptable.. so the foster Mom adopted her .. she also has another that was so frightened of humans that she ran away from her caregiver and got hit by a car and almost died due to the horrors of puppy mills and her intense fear of human beings because of the mistreatment in the puppy mills! My Bichon Frise is my closest buddy and friend ... she came from a good and careful breeder, and is a healthy sweet thing. We [previously owned a "pet store" bichon who suffered terrible diseases and had a difficult life, though she loved us and we loved her dearly. The abuse humans can wreak upon the animal world, especially breeding pets, is sinful and greedy and must be stopped. Please help, Oprah!
