Hi, i'm starting this petition because I for one would like to see one of the best consoles of all time back in action, and I've thought of a good way this can be achieved. An Open Source development kit designed for the development of games and software to run on the sega dreamcast, released and supported by sega themselves. I think this would be a good idea because lots of people still have/play their dreamcasts but cant look forward to any new releases. And if there was an os dev kit, this would open up a whole new scene for the dreamcast. There would be brand new content available for all dreamcast fans to enjoy, and also i believe this would be a great oppertunity for sega to release new hardware to be used on the dreamcast specifically for this project. It would be the rebirth of a fantastic games console. I was hoping, if enough people agreed with me, and if you would be interested in developing software for the console, sega may consider developing such a 'kit', and if this petition reaches its signature goal, i will send the petition to sega with my idea.
