ignorant haters of all things, not just anime, need to shut up, but I suppose we can't because it's human nature. However, we can't learn to agree to disagree since the opposing side is using Cartman-esque fascism that can only be defeated by killing them, which we can't use and they can go around annonymosly (sry if I mispelled) ripping on what they hate using the internet. The only way to destroy what we hate is to destroy society altogether. Perhaps these haters hate the fact that something they don't like is popular. I suggest these ppl watch Death Note, Akira, or Coyboy Bebop. These series are much different from the happy/cute or muscle-toned anime that they have the stereotyped idea of. Also, read manga. Even the manga versions of terrible series such as Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! are tolerable and sometimes good. I suppose we as a species need to learn how to be tolerant and just deal. We need to help shape more liberal, open-minded people by exposing them to certain types of environments, ppl, and concepts (after we kill religion of course). That is the only way to better our society for the future so that we can all learn to deal.

It's really kind of sad that people who don't like anime are on a petition SUPPORTING anime. Also, if you can't express your opinions without cursing i think it says more about you than what you're cursing at. As a A/B student, i enjoy anime not just as an artistic media but also because a lot of anime has a political or social view. Like Howl's Moving Castle (which i love) it's a critique of the cost of war and a commentary on the universal dilema of accepting and finding yourself. On the whole, fan girl/fan boy thing, i think that its up to the person to decide whether they read a fanfic or not. So if you're so against it, why are you even AWARE that people are 'getting off' from watching it. unless you are 0.o;
