The Australian Government should increase their target to cut
Australian Carbon emissions which is currently only “To cut 5% of
Australian carbon emissions levels in the year 2000 by 2020”. An
example of a country who is actually attempting to cut large amounts
of carbon emissions is Denmark. Denmark has promised to increase the
use of renewable energy to 20% of their entire energy use by 2011. In
signing this petition these people are saying that they believe that
the Australian Government should increase their target so that they
cut at least 25% of Australian carbon emissions 2015. The signatures
on this petition are mostly those of young people whose future YOU are
deciding. So for us decide them well.
