NOT ALL PITBULLS ARE BAD ITS THE BAD OWNERS YOU SHOULD MAKE A LAW THAT EVERY OWNER SHOULD REGISTER THERE PITBULL UNDER THERE NAME THAT WAY IF THEY REALLY LOVE THE BRRED IT WILL SHOW RESPONSABILTY FOR IT AND WHAT IT DOES GOOD OWNERS WILL DO IT ITS THE YOUNGSTERS WHO HAVE THE DOG FOR FIGHTING OR TO LOOK COOL THEY DONT LOVE THE DOGS THEY SHOULD BE THE ONES TO GET IN TROUBLE KEEP TRACK OF THEM MAKE THEM PAY NOT US NOT OUR LOVEING PITBULLS THERE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER DOG THEY LEARN FROM WHAT YOU TEACH
Last Year My six week old Terrier was pulled through the fence of my neighbors by Pitt Bulls and nearly mauled to death. It took 30 minutes to get the pitt to just let go. My dog underwent mager surgery and ended up with 200 stitches and a broken jaw. He will never breath normallly and where i lived there was no animal control,no one would help me. The police said they can;t do anything unless it envolves a person getting hurt. So i guess I will just have to wait untill my two year old is playing outside and those dogs get out or he walks to close to the fence and him get bit or mauled or even killed those dogs are capable of anything they put their minds to and they should be stopped because i'm not going to keep waiting for someone to get hurt before something is done or i take some part in the action of banning these viciouse dogs. Honestly I've never meet a friendly one!!!!
First off, The American PitBull Terrier is just like any other dog breed. They are not a visious monster the media, PETA, and the humane society wants you to believe so badly for publicity. am 23 yrs old, and have grown up with many examples of the breed, none of them like you see and hear about on the news. The media is infamous for scapegoating this breed as the agressor. if they are not, they either lie, or leave. thank you so much for your time.
What about the thousands of rottweiller, german shepard, terrier, chow, great dane, boxer, lab, retreiver, poodle and the thousands of other breeds that attacked people!!!! dogs react on how they were raised !!! no if's,and's, or but's about it. i can easily train a shitzu to attack and kill just as easy as a pit bull. the dog shouldnt be outlawed, it's a living creature just like human beings. instead why not punish the owners of the dogs which attack the innocent!!! doesnt that make a lot more sense???
Yea Pit Bulls are such a danger thats why the little rascals had one think about how many differant children where on and off of that show through out the years it was on and one thing stayed the same petey was always a pitbull. if they are such monsters there would be at least a hundred dead rascals right now.
I support this issue 100%. I for one am afraid of what Pitbulls are capable of. A Pitbull killed my dog. He ripped through our wooden fence to get to her. I think having tougher laws on the owners of such dogs would take care of most of the problems. The owners of Pitbulls need to think of everyone in the neighborhoods safety first. And the safety of the children that play in the neighborhood.If this law passes I do think I may feel a little safer. Until then I live in fear of Pitbulls.
I oppose this bill. I own 3 pit bulls and have raised them for over 5 years and I have yet to raise a bad one. I support to punish the deed, not the breed. I also show and pull my dogs and even that doesnt make a pit a danger to society...

did you know that the as of 3 or 4 years ago the biggest drug bust in US customs history was sniffed out by a pitbull that was rescued from the pound also when the shuttle columbia blew up over texas it was a team of pitbull search dogs that found alot of the wreckage incluning the black box
I own two rednose males and no they dont get along but they never show agression towards people.i sometimes have to tell them to stop licking peoples faces. they are a great breed and deserve recongnition for their greatness not their faults.
I own a pit and my boyfriend owns one. My dogs are my babies, and there is no one that can tell me about there attitude. All the b.s. is about is what they hear instead of the facts, lets go and see how labordors, and golden retrievers hurt people.

I have a pit and he is the sweetest dog we have. I am so disgusted by this legislation. Please, use your power and influence to do something for good, help people who are homeless, who don't have healthcare, or go tgo bed hungry night after night. Don't worry about my dog.
These acts of violence are the owners fault if you mistreat abuse or starve or tarin an animal to do bad things what do you expect they need to protect themselves but raise them in a loving environment and you get a wonderful pet. any animal could turn for their own safety it these owners that should be put away.

This is horrible. No dog deserves to be euthanised like that. No entire breed deserves it. that would be like executing an entire race of people. Its ridiculous. I have had many pits and I have never had a problem with any of them other then they thought they were lap dogs, and Im sorry I dont think that is vicious.. They are GREAT dogs..

i have owned pits for a while now and i can tell you from experince that these dogs are not the man killers you think they are. pits can be traind to bite, ON COMMAND! i've traind all my pit that way. they are very sweet and lovin g. My pits will only bite when i tell them to. the only time i'll tell them to is when my family is being treatend via burglers, Or people that will harm my family. you are very misinformed about pitbulls. you need to listen to pit owners not the stupid media, thay dont know jack squat about pits. i support this and any other petition that wants to ban pits.
I have an indelible image in my mind of my six-year-old daughter being wheeled into emergency surgery after a dog attack. That is but one of two such images as it was was my second experience of having a child seriously injured by a dog. I support this legislation because we the people do not seem to be able to come to grip with the fact that dogs are animals and their behavior unpredicatable. We love dogs. It's a sad reality that we have to resort to legislation to eliminate the most dangerous breeds.
Even though I support this legislation, I seriously doubt that it will be successful. We just don't collectively have our heads around the concept.
