I support this petition. Anyone that hates or fears this type of dog is becuase they have a lack of knowledge of what this breeed is really bread to be! It makes me sick that this dog can be so disctiminated against because of who has owned and abused these animales!

I support this petition. Before I met my wife I had never been around a pitbull, I was used to goldens and chiwawa's. Which the chiwawa is more of a biter than any pit I know. I had heard all of the horror stories regarding pits and I must say I was hesitant to be around mywifes dog. But after time she and I learned from each other, I learned she was not the child mauling, aggressive killer the media creates them to be, after all she has a good mother, the kennel owner didn't abuse his dogs or teach them aggressive behavior, and he didnt breed his dogs with other dogs that were faught. I have nothing but love for my pit and would protect her with my life. Hitler was wrong with the Holocaust. How are these bans any different than what Hitler did? We are in the land of the free but those in positions of power are taking away our freedoms. How would they feel if we created a ban that their children couldn't go to Ivy League colleges, or college in general for that matter. You know that if these bans go through 90% of the pits are going to be put down. Helen Keller all owned pitbulls? Pete from the little rascals worked with children actors until he was poisoned was a pitbull. I have a customer whos child was attacked and guess what attacked his child? It was a Lab a black lab not a pitbull. I know many responsible pitbull owners, it is the irresponsible ones that give the good dogs and owners a bad name. Don't blame the breed.

IM a pround owner of three great pit bulls,They are wonderful and my town has yet to try and ban them im in the process right now of fighting them for it,This is just being racist against one breed nothing more yes what happened to that little boy was tragic but once again this isnt a case of a bad dog these are bad owners who raise them without the knowledge of how to train and maintain thier dogs.

I support this petition. When I was younger a teacher of mine had a pitbull. This pitbull was loving and even saved her gradchild from being hit by a car. It's not the dog it's how the dog is raised.
my family and I are proud owners of 3 wonderful pit bulls they are like a part of the family. We cherish our dogs and we do not allow them to be in any fights. Those that fight pitbulls should be punish. That is still animal cruelty. All dogs bit and I feel if you ban Pit bulls than you have to ban them all including the police k-9.. They can be vicious as well and they are trained that way. So ban the deed and not the BREED..
I support this petition. Pit Bulls are the most mistreated and misunderstood breed in the country. We should be helping them instead of unnecessarily euthanizing thousands of them daily. BSL only affects responsible owners like myself
Blame the owner not the dogs. Any living creature is a product of its environment. Why don't we ban babies because they could grow up and hurt someone too?
I am the proud "mother" of two rescued pitbulls. My husband and I are intelligent, middle class members of society who just happen to love the breed. We have also adopted out several other rescued pits to our friends and relatives and not one of us has had a problem. I was a Veterinary Technician for 12 years and NEVER once had an attempted bite from a Pitbull.
Any dog can be a problem in the wrong hands. We need legislation for the problem people, not the dogs.
