On August 22, 2005 Pat Robertson insisted on his nationally televised show “The 700 Club” that the United States government assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Not only is inciting war or assassinations the most unchristian thing anyone can do, it is also most un-American and should be considered an act of terrorism against a foreign government.

This is not the first time Pat Robertson has insisted that someone should die and it certainly will not be the last. He has held “Power Prayers” with enormous congregations in his cult churches asking God to kill “activist judges”, Democrat Senators and Congress people, and anyone else who opposes the Christian Coalition or the Christian Coalition’s extremist agenda. Pat Robertson has even accused feminists, gays, and lesbians for the attacks on September 11, 2001 and has stated that they should also be killed to save America.

Free speech is a fundamental right for all Americans; however, perpetuating violence and murder on national television must not be tolerated in anyway. Please sign this petition to have Pat Robertson taken off the air permanently. Thank you.
