What do yo lot think of Pete Doherty(Lead singer of Babyshambles, Kate Moss' boyfriend, heroin addict)? I like him but most people i know hate him but i'd like to hear what people outside the metropolitan city that is Blackburn think.

Pete Doherty? Legend isn't he? Isn't that the guy who made a band and revamped british rock? The same guy who has wrote some of the best music since the new millenium? The guy who is the coolest and most influencal musician of this generation? John Lennon took heaps and heaps of drugs as well you know, but he's a 'good role model.' Let me just say that no one in music is a 'good role model'. And if any one is, Pete AS to be one of them.

He is an amazing talent, visionaire, songwriter and poet. I applaud the people who understand the being of his nature. And to those who can't bear him, you are just misinformed. You haven't a clue about his deep lyrics. He is the very essence of a poet... I've heard loads of people dismiss him and say bah, poet wtf? Ignorance. Pure ignorance.

I think that he absolutely no talent at all. He's a terrible singer/guitarist/harmonic a player who makes me cringe. He writes crappy rehashes of old punk/new-wave (Kilamangiro is a blatant rip of Down in a Tube Station by the Jam, for one). He turns up or misses most of his gigs. People say he acts rock and roll, I say he acts like a complete twat. He should have been arrested long before now, and been made to stay there. He's not a ragged genius, he's just ragged shite.
