I've been following your game for the past couple of years. May god help you in this time of need so you can get back on the ice and show the heart and dedication you play with on every shift.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. You will remain in the thoughts and prayers of Bruins Nation, and we can't wait to see you get back on the ice. Merry Christmas!
Phil you are a role model for how you have handled this. I applaud you and look forward to the night you return to the ice. Enjoy the Holidays with your Family and get well soon. And as long as your healthy we will need you down the stretch. Get well Bud!

You've just joined an amazing community full of passionate people. Thanks for being such a good role model -- early detection and treatment, and back on your feet with little more than a speed bump in your road. However, as the Lance Armstrong Foundation manifesto says, "Cancer may leave your body, but it never leaves your life." The experience will lead you on to bigger and better things.
Happy holidays and best wishes, Phil!

Get well soon Phil! You are a great player and I'm glad to hear you'll be ok. Thanks for all the great hockey you've brought us. Have a speedy recovery and best of wishes
Phil, as a fan of the game I wish you all the best. Was excited to see you play this year even if I am a Sabres fan....get well and we'll all be ready when you're ready to kick some ass again.
On behalf of The NHL Arena we all wish you a speedy recovery and we hope to see you back soon.
For some reason, NHL players seem to have good odds when fighting cancer. Koivu, Lemieux, even Pat Burns.
It might just be another example of why our sport has some of the toughest guys in the world.
We're all routing for you Kessel!
I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery. Merry Christmas!
I would say go Bruins if I wasn't a die hard Sabres fan...
I hope to see you back on the ice this season!
My name is Michael and I am a huge hockey fan (especially of any original six team!!).....
I am 41 years of age, married to the girl of my dreams for 13 of those, father of a wonderful little boy for the last 5..... and as of this upcoming February, 3 years surviving testicular cancer. After two operations and four rounds of chemo I am now in better health and shape than my pre-cancer days and (I am particularly proud of this) still a fully functioning alpha male (my wife will testify to that). Every day I wake up is a gift and I know that I am here for a reason. Food taste better, my son's laughter is sweeter, my wife's eyes prettier and I relish every opportunity and experience good and bad. This is the gift I walked away from cancer with.
Life isn't always fair... sometimes we get sent to the penalty box for no good reason, but hang in there Phil... you'll be out there better than ever and scoring big time!
