Phylicia Thomas needs to come home
Published February 15, 2011
February 11th 2004 in Sweet Valley, PA a beautiful girl went missing. The main suspect in the case, Steven Martin has since hung himself in prison for unrelated charges. We the people, are asking that Luzerne County Court make a decision in our favor to allow State Police and private highly trained cadaver dogs to search Steven Martin's old property for the remains of Phylicia and possibly 2 other missing girls. We have asked the present land owner for permission and she has declined to allow us to search the property at 302 Golf Course Road, Hunlock Creek, PA.
The above stated property was owned at the time of Phylicia's disappearance by the main suspect in the case. We believe it is warranted that we ask to have this property searches by a private search and rescue team.
The individual citizens who have signed this petition highly believe that 7 years is too long for a family to wait for their loved one's remains to be found and searching this property may get them the closure they need and deserve. They also believe that by the land owner refusing to allow a search to take place the land owner is interferring in an investigation and something needs to be done to protect the rights of victims such as Phylicia and her family. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. We hope that you will agree that one to two days on this property may be a slight inconvienance to the land owners but not searching it could lead to a lifetime of pain for a family.
