There should be no breed specific laws. Dog arent bad people make them that way!!!! I myself own some of the loyalist pitbulls i know. They were raised around my baby she is now 1 year old. Every since she was born.
Our pitbull Reno is a trusty friend and the best friend to 30 quarter horses. He is not mean or agressive and the best dog we ever owned and we plan to own more. Marge
I have a pit bull who is a registered therapy dog. we visit the local hospitals and nursing homes. he is a wonderful dog and banning a breed of dog willnot work. the irresponsible thugs/criminals/etc will just turn to another breed, then what? ban them all? Banning pit bulls is wrong. Enforcing leash laws and punishing the humans is what should be happening.
I have two pit bulls and two small children. My dogs and my children are fabulous together, but I also keep in mind that a dog is a dog. It will act like a dog and its my responsibility to realize that and act accordingly. Banning ANYTHING has never worked. it pushes things underground. What makes banning dogs any different?
I have a pit for five years and he has never bite anyone. I work with children, he see 200 children every days and never problem. He don't like the cats thats all.
Although I'm a pitbull owner, I must say that the most upsetting thing for me is how we humans deal with issues in society. Banning pitbulls makes us look so weak and stupid. Pitbulls need more attention not because they're ticking timebombs, but because they're more energetic. If there's any animal that's born to do damage, it's us!!
All breeds can be bad and bit. I have owned a pit bull for 12 years and she has never hurt anyone. she is afraid of cats. and for a big dog that is really funny. My daughter used her ears as a teething toy and the dog never did anything. Now that my daughter is older she dresses the dog up in princess stuff and they have tea parties with crowns on.how can that be concidered a bad breed. The owners need to be held responsble for how they care for their dog not the whole breed being made to suffer
Stop blaming dogs (OF ANY BREED) for human irresponsibility. We are their caretakers, it is up to all owners to accept responsibility, including blame, for the actions of their charges. If any laws are necessary, it should be laws to keep worthless, neglectful people from owning animals of any sort!
In reality the breed that is responsible for most bites is the Cocker Spaniel. Other breeds that are top of the list are Labrador Retrieves and Golden Retrievers. Every dog that is not properly trained and well-taken care of is propense to bite, not just Pit Bulls
Owners should be held responsible for any dog bite, which may occur even with toy dogs. One breed is not and should not be blamed for incidents that occur with any kind of animal. Owners should be more responsible of their pets.
les pitbull peuvent etre tres gentille tout depend comment on les eduque est a quoi mais les pits sont des chiens extra ordinaire il faut pas kil disparesse
I have owned ADBA registered APBT's for 14 years, in this time I have seen the very best and the very worst specimens of this breed. For every negative tempermental aspect I can point out in one of these dogs, I can also pinpoint the reason for these issues...it ALL goes back to the the humans invovled with the animal in one way or another. These animals attributes are often abused. Bad People take their ability to perform at any level and misuse it. Punish the deed, not the breed! Guns don't kill people, people kill people....there are no bad dogs, only bad people. Dogs do not have the capability of hate, only people do and when you take away the APBT, bad people will only find another breed to utilize for their bidding.
I've been a dog owner/breeder/exhibitor for almost 35 years. I've never had a bad experience with a Pit Bull, having lived with two for 10 years. This breed suffers from poor ownership IMO and nothing else. They are truly wonderful dogs.
We have owned a lab before our pitbull and by far our family gets along better with our pitbull. She is the sweetest thing. She's so soft with my MIL 2 Westie puppies. Punish the deed not the breed!
judge the deed not the breed. these are probably the best dogs ever created and now have negative publicity attached to them. Present facts before judgement.
I have owned 2 Pit Bulls and they are nothing but love and fun. Of course they are going to always protect your home as well but what is desplayed in the media is only a direct sign of how the owner has raised their pup. I currently have blue APBT named Kane and he is the best dog a man could ask for.
This living and breathing feeling animal needs responsible breeding programs, responsible ACCOUNTABLE owners/trainers and much much love. Legislation needs to reflect the needs of the pit. PIT OWNERS need to understand their pit as well as any other free thinking mammal and foresee potential issues before they happen and train accordingly. Good luck in your efforts to stop the violence.
I have three pit bulls that live in harmony together with my two cats. They love each other and are the greatest dogs I have ever had. You don't need to single out any breed because of aggression. You need to focus on animal control and the idiots that attempt to "raise" these dogs.
No breed gets a worse and unfair rap than pitts. Raised in a normal family enviornment, not only are they loyal and sweet - but protective in a good way of the family. Reediculous people fear them so much, due to all the dog fighting press
Pit Bulls need our love, not our hate. Misunderstanding and lies breed hate. We need to speak the truth about this breed, and stop the violence against it. Thank you, Nik
Bad dog owners not pit bull are bad and should be punsihed. Dont take it out on the pit bulls, they are very loving and loyal pets. People are the problem here!!
Ignorance is the key of descrimination!!! Stop!!! My pit bull is the sweetest puppy dog of my area!! Give them a chance to prove they're as kind and nice than the other dogs!
