You should see how many so-called "friendly type" breed dogs have been allowed in the obedience classes I have attended with my rescued Pit, Molly. I personally have been attached and bitten on two separate occasions by a Border Collie and Shephard mix. Irresponsible owners and unleashed dogs, do something about that!

Pitbull are only what you raise them to be. They are as intelligent as any other dog but are misinterpreted for their appearance and because of stupid irresponsible jack asses that raise them for the wrong purpose.
In the hundreds of pit bulls I have come in contact with, I have only seen one that was aggressive. I'd have to look at his owner and ask why! They are a wonderful family dog.
All breeds have the potential to become agressive is not raised properly. Lawmakers should spend time punishing careless owners. Cocker spaniels are the number one breed responsible for hospitalized dog bites each year. I have yet to see one of those attacks on the six o'clock news.
Pitbulls are an amazing breed. They are not overly agressive, but they are, however recieving a bad reputation. Along the lines of great white sharks and g rizzly bears, the pitbulls are getting their poor reputation from people. You never hear about the wonderful things these animals contribute, you only hear about the mauling and devestation that has happened on rare instances. Our country thrives on negativity. Please showcase the good sometime.
Banning one breed leads to banning more breeds. Dangerous Dog legislation, and a crack down on animal abuse, puppymills and dog fighters is what is really needed.

If everyone out there knew what us APBT owners know, they would have one in there family also. They are great loving family members. Wouldnt have another breed.

I love my pit-bulls! Personally I rather a pit-bull over any other breed around! Pits are loyal, caring & loving animals that are great with my family & friends. I believe they way a dog acts reflects on the owner. Attitude reflects leadership! Punish the deed not the breed!

Any dog can be manipulated into something that it's not, it's all in the upbringing and raising of the breed, and how involved the dog's owner is in caretaking.

pit bulls aren't necessarily vicious by nature. just because they're commonly chosen as guard dogs, like rottweilers or dobermans, doesn't make them vicious. it's the rearing that they are put through that determines whether they are aggressive or not.
Please FOX, give something back to these graceful animals. Nothing was done by the gov't to control the gang-bangers from owning and abusing these animals, and now here we are, shielding our eyes from the criminals, and punishing the dogs instead. Huh?!! This is insanity!
I used to not like dogs at all. Then one night 25 years ago I found a puppy wandering the streets and I picked him up and found out he was a pit bull. I named him Duke and I've owned pit bulls ever since
It's about damn time someone shows the public the "real" pit bull breed. I love all pit bulls...they are great with kids and make excellent family pets.
My pitbulls are my babies. The media needs to stop feeding the public what they want to hear and start facing the facts: a dog will only act out if trained to do so; therefore we need to put the 'bad' publicity blame on the irresponsible owners. I, too, remember hearing when I was a child about doberman attacks and so on. Every year its something different, leave these poor dogs alone, don't deem a dog vicious unless IT IS vicious.... and by that meaning ANY breed, not just being racist against one breed.
I think this is a great idea to do a segment on pitbulls, I also think a talk show needs to do a show about pitbulls as well.
