Ces animaux ne sont pas sauvage mais les maitres qu'ils les dressent sont eux, souvent, plus sauvage que des lions, et voilà les seuls coupables. Laissez les vivre ces pauvres bêtes.
My teenagers have always wanted a Pitbull and I every time it was brought up I freaked out. Reading your information tells me very loudly that I need to educate myself better before I judge.
I've been into apbt's for 10 yrs now. Not all these dogs are bad. I really believe the majority of the attacks are done by dogs that resemble apbt's. We all know that a true apbt is one of the few dogs that you can buy full grown and introduce to your family and home. Stop just stereotyping pitbulls. Most people that I know have to have a yard dog to keep dog thieves away from their pitbull stock. They are easily confused for american staffordshire terriers.
i know of at least three families with very small children who have pit bulls as inside pets. the dogs play with the children and are protective of them
I am writing this to say my thoughts on pitbulls, I have one here little over a year old, he is very good dog very protective, and can be a little to playful at time's but hey so can my collie. I love my pitbull, I had a rottie for about 3 years took good care of him and he still bit me but now my pit his name is chanze he is 1 and a ahlf and he hasnt even trid to bite me i trust a pit over a rott.
I have a male pit Goliath and have had many fosters and i have two young girls Amber 3 and Elena 2 none of these dogs have ever shown any signs that they would harm my babies. Infact one day a man walked in my home on base ( and we thought on base was safe) and the girls were on the couch Goliath grabbed that mans arm/shirtsleve and would not let go the man was slamming the door on his head and he would not let go until I told him to. So some would call that aggresive I call it protecting his family. My girls climb on them like horses and they are fine with it. Dogs act the way you teach them to act!!!!!!!!!
I have had Pit Bulls for over 20 yrs & have never had a problem with them wanting to hurt people out of being mean or from being people aggressive. I have one now & he plays great with every one & everything!
I would love to have an audience of several million to debunk the ridiculous myths that have been perpetrated about the breed. Give me 30 minutes and I can make even the most skeptical see the ridiculous venue in which these dogs have been placed.
Are there certain criteria for responsible stewardship of this breed? Sure, just like there is certain criteria for almosst everything in life ...it is called responsibility.
My wife and I have a pit and I have to say she is the most loving dog I have ever had I love her.. My kids are afraid of other dogs but not most pits.. The deeds they are taught are to blame not the breed.
Any dog can be agresive, it's not just the dogs that the public has named bad. It's how the owner raises the dog, if you respect your dog and care for it then the dog will do the same for you. I have a Rottwieler, he has done nothing but bark at people as they pass, he has never tried to bite anyone.
Please spread the TRUTH about pits...they are awesome pets! Smart, loyal, loving, obedient, well-mannered...wonderful all around. People will never understand if all they see in the media is bad news about pits...please please show the GOOD side of pitbulls!!!
We have 1 pit, 1 rott, 1 that is half pit and half rott and she has 3 pit and rott puppies that were just born. The day that the pups were born all our friends came to see them. She was so gentle she let everyone see them and hold them. These pups are now 4 weeks old and are going to very good homes. We have a girl puppy left to find a home for and I will personally make sure she goes to a loving and good home and not a "monster" home! Our dogs are gentle and loving. They have protected my children by barking if a stranger came up to the house when I wasnt out front with them. They have never bit anyone, EVER!!They are the most loyal dogs I have ever owned. I would trust my dogs with my newborn, same as they have trusted me with theirs!
My pitbull Angus loves everyone he meets. He has never shown aggression towards anyone. In fact, one of his favorite activities is licking your face til you cant take it anymore.
We should all step back from the situation and look to see what the real problem is...It's the Human's not the dog's. All the pits start as sweet little puppies. If all they know is anger and violence then that's all they know. It's not that difficult to understand.
To tell you the truth I was just thinking about doing something like this after viewing a video from iron cross kennels I own a pitbull myself and she is the smartest dog i have ever own to this day. In a way they are almost human like very intelligent that is why they are so easy to be trained to fight also how easy to train to be nice. thank you to whoever started this petition.
I have had pitbulls since I was a kid and have never had a problem. I have 4 now, and 2 small children and they are excellent with them and I have 4 cats and 2 birds and not one problem at all. Very good family pets.
this is one of the most intelligent and courageous breed of dogs today. These dogs are loving, giving, extremely athletic and very LOYAL! THEY weren't originally bred to be human aggressive and alot of the ones that we think are, aren't. There bark is worse than their bite. We need to PROMOTE AND PUSH responsible ownership for the breed. This breed of dog is most definitely not for everyone. My children love my dogs. I love my dogs and the breed. and yes my children have regular contact with my animals. Even the neighbors children can pet my dogs.
My Daughter has a pitbull, I have kept her and scolded her. and she has never once tried to bite me. In fact all she did was just tuck her tail and lower her head and. Did not get defensive at all. My daughter has two sons and the pitbull is very kind to them and to the entire family as a matter of fact.
she is very affectionate. very protective. very loving.Sits in my lap, will sleep beside me. Gives me kiss's. RED OUR PITBULL AND I CALL HER OUR'S WOULD NOT HARM ANY OF US. OR ANYONE ELSE. WE HAVE HAD HER SINCE SHE WAS A PUPPY.
This is probably one of the best breed of dog i could ever own, great with children, athletic, loyal, awsome temperment, and very versitile, they can participate in just about any type of dog events, from conformation to shutzhund, ring sport, weightpulling, agility, obediance, therapy, and the list goes on for miles, they have and currently do have Pit bulls that have excelled in any one of those events with honor.
punish the deed not the breed!
Ever enjoyed the inocense of a new born puppy? Dogs are not born bad. Bad dogs are like bad children and the result of bad parents....a dog of ANY breed can be bad or good. Get to know the APBT for the gentle lovers they are in the right hands instead of hiding behing negative press and ignorance.
the apbt should be respected in our society instead it is viewed as a monster. the misrepresentation and abuse by irresponsible owners is what the media wants people to believe and it helps rating.if they would stop throwing gas on the fire maybe people can make a decision based on there personal encounters w/ the breed and not here say that's consistantly reported
Pit bulls are naturally human oriented, and are very sweet assuming they were not tainted by someone irresponsible. They do need a firm owner, as they are strong willed dogs. I just dont believe that there are "bad dogs" just "bad owners". And this goes for any breed!
There was once a wise saying, "The only thing that man has to fear of dog, is his owner." Responsible ownership, and correct, researched media reports are the keys to a better life for our GREAT breed. Besides...only people that are afraid to know the truth hide behind lies. I have and always will stand behind this great breed. Pit Bull love forever!
I would like that Fox News showed that piece of a trustful coverage on both sides of the story around pitbulls and show it to TVI, a portuguese television channel that reported a similar case last week. The dog in question is to be killed soon...:((
