My Pitbull lets my 5 year old nephew (who coincidently she is jealous as hell of when I give him attention) pull on her tail. She actually pulls him accross the floor.

i love when i meet people who are terrified of pit bulls, then they meet my dogs and fall in love with them. if only people tuned out rumors and opened thier eyes,maybe id have a little more sympathy for the human race.
Loving, loyal, mild-tempered, affectionate, are just a few of the adjectives to describe our bully pits. The old saying,"One rotten apple spoils the bunch", captures the essense of this petition. Many train their pits to be aggressive as many train their children, coached athletes, cats, etc. Are we to ban the trainees or the trainers. Should society ban cigarettes or the cigarette makers, the guns or the possessers. Focus on the humans and not the animals, they are victims.
I have 2 male and 2 female pitbulls and 4 children. I also have a lab/chow mix and of all the dogs my lab mix is the most aggressive. I get mad when I hear people talk bad about them, they have no idea how gentle they really are.
i am also a pitbull owner, who has 4 children of which love their dogs, as well as the dogs love them they are not at all aggressive in anyway..and im sick of all the crap people talk when they have no experience with this breed of loyal companions..thank you
I have a pure bred Pit Bull who I got from responsible breeders. I have papers on him as well as 6 generations of his ancestors. He is the sweetest dog and strangers approach us all the time to say how nice looking he is. He is also the biggest baby. He doesn't go out in the dark alone and gets beat up by my kitten. I also have a 15 year old Yorkie who bites. The Pit Bull does not bite. So thank you to all irresonsible dog owners and back-yard breeders who who make it immpossible for these bully breeds to get the love and respect they deserve.
I have three pittbulls one 2 year old and two 1year olds and you mcould not ask for better dogs.i have had my two year old for a year. i got he after say a man beating her.
I have a six yeaar old daughter and she has been around pitbulls all of her life and we have never had any kind of problem with our dogs.I strongly believe a dog is what you make it.I have known people who make there dogs agressive with people and other animals this is where you get you vicious dogs from.I was just reading int the paper where I live.This is what it states.
Owners of a dangerous dog must register the dog with the town at afee of $50/year.The dog has to wear a special tag that identifies that the animal is dangerous.The Town has to approve fencing for that dog the kennels must be locked and signs must be posted on owner's property stating that this is a dangerous dog.Owners must notify the Town if the animal becomes loose. Then they go on to say tha they wish that they could ban pitbulls from the town All of this stems from an irresponsible owner who trained his dogs to fight.
Anyone who tries to ban Pitbulls might as well align themselves with the Nazis. Pitbull's are great dogs. You need to crack down on the Men who are training dogs to fight. They are the ones who deserve punishment. Animals can't be blamed for what they are taught. Any dog can be trained to fight by an asshole. Anyway, Pitbulls Rule! I help with AKC public obedience classes. We've had many pitbulls in our classes. I live in town that just stupidly banned all new pitbulls. The only dog I've been bitten by was a 4 month old beage. Give me a pitbull over a dalmation anyday. CH
my son has a pitbull. i love this dog very much.i had a seizure at work a couple of years ago and on some medicines that made me made me feel like i was in slow motion,well i opened the spare bedroom door and scared him.he jumped up with his paws around my shoulders and as i was falling backwards.he knew something was wrong with me.he did not try to hurt me.my dad is a quaideplic when we go over to his house,i tell duke to kiss pop pops foot.he kisses his foot and goes about his business. if he was such a bad dog i would not let him near my dad who is paralized. this dog has learned a few commands that i taught him.it is the people who raise these pitbulls that give them the bad rap.i love when he does the pitysit
I have a pitbulll/ chinese sharpei mix whom the children in our neighborhood loves to play with. he is 8 mos old and because i've proven myself wrong and that they are really good pets i decided to get another one, this time a purebred female pit. my two pets are just so sweet with each other. i have yet to see my male dog get really aggressive... although he already fought one of our older dogs it was only because he was provoked, i have yet to see him start a fight
When I baby-sit Angel, my friend's pit bull mix, I don't worry about her behavior with guests or with our other dogs. Angel's 'dad' has rasied her to be a loving dog.
i grew up around pitbulls and they never were alway playful and loving with me. when they are taken care of the right way they are teh best friend a person can have.

I personally own a purebred pitbull, and I can attest to their kindness, loyalty and obedience. They're good with children and they would never hurt anyone. I blame the irresponsible owners who train their dogs to fight for pitbulls' bad and reputation.
Maybe if we made the punishment greater on people who make certain Pit bulls agressive then maybe we would have less of a problem. I am a mother of three children and my Pits have been the best family dogs I have ever owned. They are very intelligent, loyal and are at times very humane like in nature. There are mean dogs in any breed infact as a child I was attacked twice by a Poodle.It boils down to responsible owners and breeders. When we got our first Pit Bull our families told us we where crazy , but I'm proud to say they have changed their minds infact a few of them have went out and got themsleves a Pit Bull.Infact my 60+ year old mother just got her second Pit Bull. So if everyone who is hesitant of the Pit Bull would get to know the breed for what it really is ( a wonderful family , working, show dog) instead of listening to the news where sorry to say more bad news is reported then ever there is good news reported you would see Pit Bulls are a wonderful breed to own!!!!!!!! Why don't you the news media do some positive stories on this breed there are plenty out there but like I said it's not the good stories the media is looking for!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a lab pit bull mix. I have learned that pit bulls are sweet and gentle dogs. Pit bulls have been the scapegoat to their human owners, cruel and torturous actions long enough. I have 8 pitbulls and 3 kids. My kids can do anything with these dogs with out me worrying about anything. Its like the dogs know these are kids, we all love our pits very much and wouldnt own any other breed.
I have been working with animals for a long time. Animals have very real emotions, just like we do. If they have been raised with love and trust, that's what they give back. You never know what may upset a dog, and labeling one breed aggressive and violent isn't a good solution. That means that many dogs in shelters don't get adopted, just because someone is afraid of their breed. Any breed can attack, and any dog can attack under the right circumstances.

I have an 8 month old Pitbull and she's a wonderful dog. I wouldn't wanna own any other kind of breed other than a Pit. She is loyal, loving, protective and she loves my kids. These dogs that attack people and fight other dogs have been TAUGHT to do that. THEY don't need to be punished, their OWNERS need to be punished. There are just some people in this world that don't deserve to own this breed of dog.
I have two pit bulls by the names of Stroker and Bonita, they are my children, I love them dearly. I believe the only fault in this matter, are ignorant humans who obviously don't know how to love an animal. These are the people at fault. If you raise a child to hate and destroy, then that is what they become. If you treat a child to love and honor, that is what they will become! Pit Bulls are not beasts upon entering the world, it is only the inhumane person who is!
I have an American PitBull and an Amstaff terrior. They are 3 and 4. We had them since they were puppies, I have to daughters who play with them all the time. They can take food out of there mouth and they would just there wagging there tails waiting patiently for it back. These dogs are so gentle and so loving that I trust them more then any other breed. My husband and i are true dog people and we have had dogs our whole life and have never owned a more trustworthy, loving, obediant, affectionate and owner pleasing dog then my two pits. They are the best breed out there, my veternarian agrees with me. It is the ignorant people who have these dogs for the wrong reasons and traing them to be mean and giving them a bad name. The news only talks about the bad with these dogs never the good. If the news broadcasted every animal attack from every breed this wouldnt be an issue.
I own a female Pit Bull named Sadie and she is wonderful. I have had 3 other dogs and would never even consider owning another breed after owning my Sadie. She has endless love for my family and even strangers. We have a 3 year old son and he goes to his school and talks about her all the time. His teacher told us that every other word out of his mouth is about Sadie. My neighbors love her and have seen the true heart and soul of this amazing breed! I think that BSL would revoke my right as a responsible dog owner to own such a great animal, while still allowing the irresponsible owners who could careless about BSL to continue exploiting the breed. I believe that they should target the cruel and ignorant owners instead on this great breed. With that said, PUNISH THE DEED NOT THE BREED!!!
I have 5 American Pit Bull Terriers and they are the best dogs I've ever owned. They are loyal, loving, and wonderful protectors. They listen better than any dog I've ever seen. They are great around kids and all other people. So many people see them on the street when we walk them and are scared to come up to them at first but after they pet them they say "I thought Pit Bulls where so mean," and then when they leave their minds are completely changed about pit bulls. My dogs have changed many people's minds about pit bulls. Punish the deed not the breed!!!

I have owned many dog breeds and the Pit Bull has long become my favorite breed. This breed like any other will treat people like they have been treated. When you give love you recieve and equal amount back, when you give hate you recieve an equal amount back. Some people make dogs mean because it give them a sense of power. If you really look at a dog you won't just see love or hate but you see the owner as well. So you pit bull owners are you proud or ashamed of what you have created? I can say that I'm a very pround owner of 9 Pit Bulls. They are the part of my family that keeps on giving. Punish the deed not the breed!
i have a 5 month old female pit bull puppy and she is the most gentle dog ive ever had in my life. i used to live with my cousin and her 5 month old daughter and lexi(my pit) was so gentle around my cousins infant child.

pit bulls are viscous. my nieghbor had one and it attacked my daughter. needless to say i went over the next day and blew it's f---ing head off with a 12 gauge. this was the second pitbull i have seen attack someone, the other one we drown in a pool.
I have raised this wounderfull breed around my childreen and public for nearly 14years and have never seen a grawl out of my dog to anyone. Please understand that this breed is part of our family and make excellent pets when treated properly and without abuse and hatred. I run into people all the time and when they see our dogs they say what a beutifull and friendly dog, what kind of Dog is he? and i reply he's a Ameican pitbull and their posture and demenor changes, so i try to educate them about the breed that the dogs are not aggrsive and never have been when treated wright and they are very trianable and loyal. After volunteering at a shelter for over ten years in a city overpopulated with pitbulls, i can tell you I've never been afraid to enter a kennel with a pit. I absolutely love the breed and it breaks my heart to see this breed suffer so much abuse, neglect, ignorance, and cruelty.
The media needs to hear us out and stop putting their spin on everything. PLEASE HEAR US OUT. I OWN 2, MY SISTER IN-LAW ALSO SIGNED THIS THAT IS HOW I GOT IT. LOCAL AND NATIONAL CHANNELS SHOULD DO STORIES ON THESE THINGS.
BSL is not right or warranted. Punish the deed not the breed. I wouldn't want to own any other dog. I have a 3yr old female red nose and her baby and black female. They love everyone and are part of my family. I am appalled at some of the laws and mis-treatment of any animal. Owners of these dogs need to be ambassadors for the breed. I would love for someone to contact me about an article of segment on this subject and mis-named breed. Any dog can be agressive or mean dependant on the environment it is subjected to. More people need to be educated on the breed and look into their history and background.
Banning any breed is a form of racisim. You don't go areound banning a certain race or color because of a crime that they committed. Dangerous animals should be delt with on a case to case basis, not because what breed they are or what breed they look like. Pitbulls make up less than 2% of all bite cases!
