How would you feel if your children were treated this way.Its a shame that such a loving animal is doomed by such media attention,misinformed and uneducated public,and ilresonsible owners.
We own 2 pits, and they are excellent. They are great with all ages of kids, people, and animals. The only reason they have a bad rep is because of all the people who fight them. Not every pit should be penalized for their stupidity, because in reality, they are excellent for familys.
I owe two red nose Pitbulls and one American Staffordshire Terrier. They are the most loving, devoted, intelligent among dogs. I love my dogs and would challenge anyone to find a better group of dogs. Humans that have cruel and hard hearts have hurt and maimed many animals in the name of control.
This is one of the gentlest breeds I have known. The truth needs to be known. What better venue than FOX broadcasting to get this story out to the public? I own a one-year old American Staffordshire Terrier and don't want to lose him because of a BSL passed out of fear. There are HUMAN animals out there who would try to turn any breed into fighters. PUNISH THE DEED, NOT THE BREED!!
I am around pitbulls everyday, they are the most loving intelligent dogs I have ever had the privilage of knowing. Not one of the dozens I have encountered have ever tried to bite or even growl at me. Please let these beautiful companions have their voice in mainstream media! "Punish the Deed, not the breed!"
We have a 1 year old female American Staffordshire Terrier. She is the best dog I have ever owned. A wonderful companion for the whole family. She is my 4 year old daughters bestfriend. I am a mom of two young children who dearly love their two Pit Bulls. Mankind is ruining a beautiful breed and then blames the breed for their own wrong-doings. The media should spend the time exploiting the disgusting people that are mistreating and destroying this breed rather than blaming the dogs who are victims themselves! When I hear of "another Pit Bull attack" on the news, I'm always waiting for the story to be concluded... who and where is the owner? PUNISH THE DEED NOT THE BREED!
I have been working in rescue for almost 5 years and I have never seen a breed so hated, yet so loved. I have come across many bad dogs and many good dogs. Most of the Pit Bulls have been the best dogs ever. It's amazing how many I have seen that have been through hell, yet can still manage to love people so much.
This is bullshit! You need liscence to drive, a liscence to buy a gun and even legislation to drink etc. But any asshole can raise a dog and train it to fight. Its the minority of idiots who ruin it for everybody else.

I have 3 pit's and they are the most loving dogs a person can have i think this law being passes is just plain wrong !!!! any dog can be trained to be a fighting dog just because asses are training pit's does not mean that all pit's are bad BOO the new law BOOOOO!!!!!!
I have owner two of them and i will tell you that they are not vicious!! And dont be running your mouth unless you have owned one and know how they act!! IT IS ALL IN HOW THEY ARE RAISED AND IF YOUR GONNA TRY AND SAY THAT THEY ARE BAD DOGS. ALL DOGS CAN BE PROTECTIVE AND AGRESSIVE SO DONT JUS SINGLE OUT PIT BULLS UNLESS YOU HAVE DONE THE RESEARCH
I have a pit who has his Canine Good Citizen through the AKC and has spent many summers working with children of all ages, it is HIGHLY abnormal for pits to be aggressive toward humans, but not unusual for them to be aggressive toward other dogs. We (humans)made them that way!!!!
I have a pit bull who worked at a summer camp with me and 100 girls. He lived on the infirmary porch and was soooo patient with all the kids who stopped by all day, every day to love him. Let's be honest about pit bull aggression towards dogs vs. aggression towards humans: it is normal for pit bulls to have dog aggression and needs to be managed by responsible owners. But it is NOT normal or usual for pit bulls to be aggressive towards people. That is the crucial difference that the media needs to recognize! A normal pit bull is ridiculously friendly and loving towards all people.
I have a pit bull who is dog agressive NOT human agressive. She has been loved from the day I found her in a field as a pup. because of this she knows nothing but love from humans and will show nothing but love back to us. People need to be educated that even though a dog might be "dog agressive" in no way does that mean it is also human agressive!
Something needs to be done about all these negative stereotypes against this wonderful breed. I have owned several pit bulls for many years and they are the most intellegent, loving and loyal companions I have ever owned. Currently in New Mexico we are facing a proposed ban. am owner of two pitbulls.With 4 children and friends in and out of my home daily.My dogs love children in a HUGE way.They love people!!!Thrive on bieng social.The media needs to portray that.
I have a two year old American Pit Bull Terrior and she is the best dog ever!!! We also have 2 hot dog dogs... if you know what I mean and those two dogs bet her up, making her face bleed and such, so i feel that any dog is a threat, not just pit bulls, and in ripon wisconsin they banned them, but we some how over came that
i have a pit/lab, and she is the best dog ever, but as a result of teh sterio type placed on tehse dogs i have had a person walk into my back yard and beat her. Badly enough to break her leg, she was 5 months old when this happened. no animal deserves that, she never did any thing to deserve that
I have a pit/boxer. He is a very gentle dog. Yes he has the ability to be dangerous, but not the temperment. Many breeds have the ability to be dangerous. It is in how the dog was raised. It is time we start punishing the owners that raise these dogs (any breed) to be aggressive. It is the few that are giving a bad reputation for the many.
