Although Presidential Candidate Barack Obama promises to change the face of our nation, those who actually listen and compare should be able to see through his facade. In order to truly understand the flaws in his campaign, we must look at the difference between the Republican and Democratic Parties. To put it simply, democratic politicians basically want everyone to be equal. This means that, say, if someone makes $120k per year, they should have to give $40k of it up to the person of $40k income, even if the $40k income person is a slacker. Republicans, however, have the opposite views in this matter. Barack Obama wants to have a larger government base, therefore taking more of the power away from the people. Obama also wants to continue the oil trade with Russia and the Middle East. Honestly, is he asking for it?? Why should we give two areas that obviously aren't fond of us the control? No- we shouldn't!! If we drilled in Alaska in addition to finding new energy sources, we could keep to and protect ourselves from our potential opponents. As Governor Sarah Palin put it, "And in short order we put the government of our state back on the side of the people. I came to office promising major ethics reform, to end the culture of self-dealing. And today, that ethics reform is the law. While I was at it, I got rid of a few things in the governor's office that I didn't believe our citizens should have to pay for.That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay. I also drive myself to work. And I thought we could muddle through without the governor's personal chef - although I've got to admit that sometimes my kids sure miss her. I came to office promising to control spending - by request if possible and by veto if necessary. " Our country is unbelievably corrupted by the greed of politicians at this time. What we need is a smaller government, and more power given to the people. People of the US are struggling to feed and clothe their families, on top of paying countless utility bills and tax bills. And Barack Obama wants to RAISE taxes? He has clearly not thought about the fact that taxes affect all of us, including the poor who can barely even pay for food. Speaking of the poor, we are allegedly paying to help many people in their daily lives. To be honest, by paying for these people, we're paying for people who may have wasted their money through gambling, drug use, and simply slacking off- yes, it's their own fault!! We are neglecting to pay for the people who truly need our help- be it a mental or physical handicap, these things are NOT THEIR fault. Instead of throwing away millions of dollars a year for those who were their own ruin, we could be helping ourselves and the needy to put food on our tables and ensure safety, shelter, and clothing to our families.
We need an experienced, honest leader to help our country turn itself around. Speaking of Barack Obama, WHO EVER heard of him before the election?- Most likely very few people did. When our country is in a crumbling state- an economic recession soon to be a depression- how can we as a people settle for anyone less than the man who can turn us around- John McCain? This is a critical issue- just think about your desires for your life and that of your children. Barack Obama's Promises may appeal to some, but he has nothing of substance or experience to back them. McCain is a maverick, and will do whatever he can to protect and help our country. He has inarguably a largely superior amount of experience, as well as the wisdom, honesty, perseverance, logic, and compassion that candidate Obama lacks. So, you decide- who would you rather have run our country? An experienced, honest Maverick, or an inexperienced, inconsiderate, incapable regular Joe?
