Keep ROUTH's Superman (naturally and on screen, of course).
Make the Sequel, at least wrap the story first. then u can do whatever u want (reboot..or else). If u don't finish it, it's very unresponsible...from a professional point of view, as a filmmakers and artist...
I support this petition. Keep Routh, he was true to the greatest Superman ever, Christopher Reeve. He's the real deal and he must continue the tradition of Superman.

I support this petition. I was thrilled with Mr. Routh's performance. I am 75 years old and never thought anyone could replace Christopher Reeve, but Brandon was wonderful. Bring Him Back!!!
Brandon Routh is Superman. And we need a superhero who isn't dark. Batman is already the Dark Knight. Give us someone who stands for truth and justice. The true Superman. Bring back Brandon Routh.
I, my immediate family, relatives and friends support this petition. WB, should you decide to recast Lois Lane with a more suitable actress, we would not object. But to preserve Superman's iconic character, who is beloved by all generations, you have to stay true to the Donner/Reeve Superman legacy. You could add more breathtaking action scenes in the next Superman film, but you have to keep the heart/spirit of Superman, something which Richard Donner & Christopher Reeve successfully accomplished in Superman The Movie & in Superman 2: The Donner Cut. We applaud Bryan Singer & Brandon Routh for intelligently adapting the Donner/Reeve Superman legacy in their film. We believe beyond the shadow of a doubt, that a sequel to "Superman Returns" would be gloriously triumphant, if only you let Singer & Routh continue what they have started. And last but not the least, please do not even consider replacing the beloved John William's Superman theme.
WB, please bring back Routh for the next Superman. So Superman Returns didn't turn out like you hope, but Routh was the best part of the film. Even many folks who hate Superman Returns like Routh. Give him another chance with more action & better script. More lines too! ;)
I support this petition. I don't agree about this decision. It crazy because if it took twenty years to find another guy that looked and peformed like Christopher Reeve then whats the point of wasting more time trying to find another one. I think Brandon Routh did a GREAT JOB! So what if the box offices were not happy it took a great amount of courage to play a big role like that . You gotta remember it was his first time on the job and alot pressure to be the best and live up to Christopher Reeve. You can't punish him for that.
I support this petition. Superman & Batman are two different characters, come from totally diff background, Batman is so dark, whereas Superman is so lively (as sunshine). Pls dont mix them up :]

Brandon Routh is the result of a worldwide search for the best person to play the Man of Steel. That has to mean something. No one since Christopher Reeve has made me think "Wow, now THAT'S Superman!"

He did an excellent job as Superman. I normally don't see "comic book" movies but I saw Superman Returns three times because of Brandon. I will not pay to see a sequel to the movie if another actor portrays Superman. I think the direction the studio heads are thinking of taking the Superman character is wrong and do agree that it is a rash response to Batman and makes the studio look deserparate and taints the project with an air of " hackery". I believe the studio doesn't get how savy the public is and how silly this will make these experts look. The public doesn't like to be "jerked around" when it comes to a beloved character and they especially don't like to see the actor portraying the beloved character changed. BRING BRANDON ROUTH BACK as Superman.
Please make a superman returns sequel!! Look at Xmen compared to the xmen sequel Brian did both as you know, so when Brian says in interviews up until recently that the next Superman would be high action, you know he isnt kidding around . If you must reboot it please dont change supermans suit and make it black or anything lol. And if you do reboot it why not keep the same cast? Brandon was a great superman and Kevin was a great Lex.

I know its just a movie but Superman is such a big part of my life. When news of the reboot came out it really affected me. When Christopher Reeve passed away I felt that I would never be able to connect with the character the way I did when he was superman. And then Bryan Singer comes along with the intent on sticking with basics when it came to the character by even casting a unknown just as Richard Donner did for the first film. When I saw Brandon Routh as Superman I felt that same connection as I did with Christopher Reeve. I think most people think he was cast for his resembles to Reeve, even though that helped he carried the true essence of the character that was established by reeve. Brandon Routh had huge shoes to fill as most of us die hard superman feel, but he acted the part so well I think it would be such a shame not for him to return in the next film wither it be a sequel or reboot. I don't want to have to wait another 20 years before I see superman on the big screen again. Whatever the outcome may be Routh Is Superman and will join the legend of this great superhero and all the great actors who came before him
