We the undersigned, as American Voters DEMAND that our government officials repeal gasoline and diesel taxes. The Government taxes exceed 50 cents a gallon in many areas of this county. This is unacceptable! Gas prices have climbed to staggering levels effecting everyone in the United States of America for the worse.

It is not only oppressive to working families and our national economy, but is as morally wrong as the tea taxes imposed by the British Government in the 1700's which helped provoke our American revolution. And to exacerbate the rising gas prices further every year: our country continues to import mostly foreign oil instead of tapping our vast and much cheaper resources right here at home.

So, if our elected officials are serious about a quick fix for lowering gas prices then they should remove these taxes, and then enact some "common sense - long term solutions" such as domestic drilling or we as voters will find candidates with the common sense to do so.
