The execution is against the Afghani constitution:
Article II, line 2 of the new Afghani Constitution states: "(2) Followers of other religions [than Islam] are free to exercise their faith and perform their religious rites within the limits of the provisions of law."
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
-James 1:2-4 (NIV)
"Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life."
-Revelation 2:10 (NIV)
I support this petition. Shame on the US coalition for allowing allowing Afganistan to revert to "Sharia Law" which is no different than the Taliban. The same will likely happen in Iraq.
I support this petition.Religious persecution is abhorrent to all Americans & should not be tolerated by a country American soldiers freed from tyranny & oppression.
I support this petition. Afghanistan must acknowledge and respect other religions. Also, our government must stand up and speak out. We did not liberate Afghanis in order to allow religious persecution.
I support this petition. But we should also include appeals to other governmnts with troops or reconstruction teams in Afghanistan (Canada for example). As well, if this case is not dropped, then one of these coalition countries should be prepared to grant him refugee status. As well, I would urge people not to make negative generalizations about muslims, even given the cruelty of this judge in this case.
I hearby sign this petition. I also wish to remind those who supported giving the keys to our nation's ports to moslems to behold: that even an entire nation could give in to such ideology that barbarity, inhumanity and savagery is legal, publicly acceptable,
while something as basic to human existance: the freedom of thought and belief, is forbidden to the point it deserves beheading, shows that moslems have not given up their over 1300 year "tradition" of killing Christians for being Christians in the name of Allah! Remember Saudi Arabia, the entire north of Africa, all of Asia minor (today's Turkey) and all the near-East was Christian until the bloody horde of Islam spread its sword over the land of Christians.
