Why are we supporting Islmaic nations that does not respect religious freedom. Our taxes should be
spent on better causes
Yes, EzzatTadross
I support this petition. Our troops have fought for "this right". I do hope that President Kazai realizes this and will support people of the Christian faith.
I support this petition. I have not yet prayed about what my Christian feelings should be, but my human feelings tell me that if this man is executed, we should pull our troops out of Afghanistan! We should NOT sacrifice our troops for demons who would kill a Christian!
I support this petition. The Muslims of the Middle East must learn to tolerate people of other religions if peace is ever going to prevail over there. Rahman has done nothing wrong and must be freed.
I support this petition. Our soldiers didn't bleed & die for Afghani freedom (including religious)just so the very people we liberated could turn around & spit on this freedom! And what of religious freedom being part of their own constitution? Does this mean nothing?
I support this petition. This action sends all the wrong messages to those who are bent on breaking all the freedoms that right-thinking Afghan men and women died for for so many years. If he is tried for changing his beliefs then nobody is safe such the tyrrany.
I support this petition.Religious intolerance will prevail in the middle eastlong after our failed attempts to export,
democratize and superimpose our cultural values on Islam.Truth and freedom are in the eye of the beholder.
I support this petition. If we cannot expect their govenment to honor the "self-evident" truths in the world, including the freedom of religion and conscience, why are we sacrificing our people, our money, and our reputation for them. This is not democracy but totalitarism!!!
First and foremost, we support and pray for Mr. Abdul Rahman. His life should be spared, even if it must be done initially under psychiatric pretense. We all know he stands by his convictions and choices for God, regardless of any face-saving measures made for the Afghan government. We admire his strength of faith.
Freedom of religion is a cornerstone of democracy. That's true for America. That's true for anywhere. Without this basic freedom, countries like Iraq and Afghanistan do NOT have true democracy.
Nobody, of any faith, will ever prove what the world's one true religion is, but it is obvious that Islam gets top-prize for the world's most recognized religion forced at gunpoint. I won't further disparage the Islamic faith, and peace-loving Muslims. The disgraceful actions of Muslim extremists and terrorists do enough of that everyday for everyone.
I have been a voting member of my country's Republican-party for 28 years. I hereby lobby my Congress and my President to immediately cease all military and financial support in Afghanistan should a hair on Mr. Rahman's head be harmed. Things are different now. Religious freedom is guaranteed in Afghan and Iraqi constitutions. This must take precedence over Islamic law. Apostasy is often justified by Islam because there is a treason committed against God. But without Islam proven to the world, to everyone, as the world's one true religion, nobody can prove that treason has been committed against God. Other civilized religions of the world do not condemn someone to death for switching to Islam. Modern Islam must embrace this same principle to allow peace in the world for people of all faiths.
This is a breaking-point for many Americans. Why should America spend billions of taxpayer dollars, and our very blood to support abominations of human liberty? Either Afghanistan will choose democracy or it will not. This is a tentative
I support this petition.
I believe that the outcome of this situation will place the United States and the western world on the precipus of true awareness of the nature of true Islam, when it is given complete control within the lives and nations of the people of this world. Any true democracy must embrace the religious freedoms of all of its constituents. Otherwise, it is only a mockery of itself.
I support this petition. If we really belive that human beings are endowed with rights by their Creator, freedom of belief is a principle we cannot back away from. It's an odd view of God that He could be humiliated by a person's conversion. What kind of god would want people to believe through coercion?
I support this petition. This Man shouls be free. As we fight to support their freedom in their country ,they should leave him to leave free in support ogf our Trinitirian God. God Bless You Brother.
I support this petition. I have heard quotes from Muslims in Afghanistan stating that 'Islam is a religion of tolerance'. A dictionary definition of tolerance is 'willingness to recognize and respect the beliefs or practices of others'. Where is the tolerance in this Islamic nation?
