I support this petition because many muslims live and are tolerated in non muslim countries and they are not subject to this if they live peaceably. This man is living peaceably though his heart has found Jesus this is not a sin.

it is a shame because what is about to come on the world should unite the monotheists if the book of the appocalypse is correct Rev 12. here then all believers and particularly believers in Jesus are being teed up for the great persecution. This mans faith is incredible but while it is still today and mauslim are tolerated minorities in Christians or other countries there ought to be a respectful right to follow ones conscience. This is no light issue this man has the privelidge of witnessing The Lord Jesus.

Fortunately Abdul Rahman was released, which makes me glad. However, I must remind in the Holy Qur'an: "Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in God and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve." (2:62) THIS is the message of Qur'an, and THIS is our duty as muslims, to respect. THESE words are eternal and stand beyound any historical context.

Forty one years Abdul Rahman, remained out of Afghanistan for 16 years during his work with a Christian Missionary Agency. It is taken that during this period, he was so deeply impressed with Christianity that he accepted this religion during his inhabitancy in Germany. Instead of keeping the Quran Sharif with him, Rahman keeps The Holy Bible with him & accepting it as his sacred book, he studies it. Rahman’s conversion from a Mohammedan to a Christian had raised a great hue & cry in many countries, including Afghanistan. The hard line religionists in Afghanistan think that Rahman deserves death sentence for it. Although, President Hamid Karzai & his government in Afghanistan, being liberal on this sensitive issue, was in a try for his acquitted, but as hard line religionist are still more powerful than judiciary, in judicial system of Afghanistan so it was very challengeable job for the Karzai government to save him from the gallows. Now there was international pressure on Afghanistan government for the release of Rahman. In this regard, the Karzai government had tried for satisfactory solution of this problem by discussions in special meetings. Catholic Christian religious leader Pope Benedict 16th, in his letter to Afghan President Hamid Karzai, had requested him to be lenient to Abdul Rahman. American President George Bush along with three NATO member countries had expressed his concern over the death sentence of Rahman. Whereas Americ

I support this petition. And I am convinced that the Prophet, were he alive, would do the same. The Islamic Fundamentalist hijacking of Mohammed's teachings, and their exploitation of the sacred Koran to accomplish their agenda, is a type of insanity which I wager even Muslims would agree with. But apparently vast numbers in the Muslim world prefer to remain silent re: the issue of Abdul Rhaman.

[And if they surrender themselves unto Him (i.e. God), they are on the right path; but if they turn away – behold, thy duty (O Muhammad,) is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.] (Aal `Imran 3:20) [There shall be no compulsion in religion...] ( Al-Baqarah 2:256) Mr. Abdul Rahman should immediately be made free to prove that we the Muslim people have not yet been deviated from our ideology of freedom of belief, to prove that we are not similar to those barbarians of middle aged Europe who killed the astronomer Giordano Bruno (not an ordinary man!) by the name of religion. We the muslim people are those people who believe in the ideology of prophets- Ebrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus), Muhammad (may peace be upon them all). No force is required to realise the truthness of our religion. Mr. Abdul Rahman- May you have a happy life. May Allah give you proper guidance.
