Downtown Redding is undergoing a metamorphosis. Redding got its first Starbucks at 1400 Eureka Way. Shasta College has expanded to a new downtown location. The art deco Cascade Theater had a $7 million rehabilitation. The Redding Riverfront Playhouse decided to move to downtown. Upscale restaurants, Mariner, Blendz, Carneige's, Fuji and Market Street Steakhouse opened. Marketfest, Farmers Market, the new Redding City Hall, The expansion of Cypress Street, the widening of the Cypress Street Bridge, The Calatrava Sundial Bridge and Museum have aided in the revitalization of Reddings downtown. The Starbucks #9455 and #13936 further cemented the bond between business and the community. Removing these two keystone Starbuck locations will hurt the downtown growth momentum, and the steps the citizens have taken to restore Redding to its pre-mall glory. There are 13 Starbucks in Redding, but #9455 and #13936are slated for closure. Please support Starbucks petition drive. We need these two stores.

I support this petition. I believe our community's growth will definitely support these two Starbuck's - the locations are right in the middle of all the newest growth and everyone is shocked that they are closing!

I support this petition. Instead, close the other new Starbucks that sits next to the one inside Barnes & Noble. Don't close the two Starbucks in this petition. They opened first in new buildings whose other tenants are just now opening their doors causing business to grow in their locations.

I support this petition. The two Starbucks in question are ideally located and eventually will do quite well. I appreciate how Starbucks treats its employees and would like to see them stay.

I support this petition. The downtown of Redding is undergoing a positive transformation and Starbucks is one of its centerpieces. If anything, close the store at Eureka Way and Market - it's been open longer, but in the long run the downtown location will be far better.

I support this petition. Completion of the Cypress Bridge improvements will enhance the Civic Center Starbucks & the Placer/California Starbucks enhances the Cascade Theatre events.

I support this petition. These are the only two stores I visit regularly; every other Starbucks is out of my way or on the far side of town.

My best friend and I have crazy, hectic full lives. Our absolute favorite time of every week is Saturday morning @ 9:30. That's when we meet at the Starbuck's at Civic Drive to unwind, vent, support each other. Although we do have other Starbuck's in town, our favorite has been this one in particular.
