You wouldn't make a purchase with your credit card without a receipt or get cash from an ATM without a receipt, why would the most important process of voting be left to computers that don't prove that your vote has been counted? What is being hidden?
Please by all that is good in this country don't let this opportunity go by to stane up and make your objections known. We cannot let this happen again. In four years my two youngest children wil be voting for the first time. Please let them go into the voting booth knowing that their vote is being counted. I know that if this fraud isn't looked into I will never vote again ! !
You, as Senators of this nation, are charged with the business of the people, NOT the business of politicians, corporations, or special interests.
The People of the United States deserve to have answered the following questions:
Why were not all votes counted in Ohio, Florida (and any other state in the nation that routinely discards ballots for "no votes", "felon" lists that are innacurate, etc.
Why have there been verifiable mistakes with no paper trail electronic machines.
Why are there still misleading and confusing butterfly ballots being used after the 2000 election.
Why did some polling places in Ohio have only one or two machines, requiring 10+ hrs wait time to vote when machines were locked in the Secretary of State's care.
Why are partisan Political Chairs of one candidate or the other also allowed to preside over state elections?
Why haven't you, as members of the Senate (and House) worked agressively to repair the broken election system?
You have an obligation to those of us who HIRED you to allow these and more questions to be raised and investigated by Rep. Conyers and his committee.
You have an obligation to the Nation to which you have made an oath to serve to allow the members of the House to speak.
The Rules state that just one Senator must recognized a member of the House before they are allowed to speak. After the 2000 election, the Senate disgraced itself in front of the entire nation. Please do not repeat the same debacle.
The People of America, those of us who elected you into that office you hold so dear, expect you to uphold the Rights of the People to have their concerns addressed and considered.

I demand that the votes be recounted in Ohio & Florida. If you are truly a religious person, how can you turn your back to the obvious election fraud and corruption that continues to grow in this country? Once again, our "democracy" is a joke to the rest of the world.
MY goodness Sec of State of Ohio despite numerous requests for more voting machines, kept numerous voting machines in storeage and had LESS machines in use in HIGH voter turnout election in heavy democratic areas than in 2000 in what can only be viewed as a deliberate attempt to discourage voting in democratic areas. People waited 10 HOURS to vote in the U.S.A. While the machines stayed in storeage because REPBLICAN co chair of BUSH CHENEY committee had major conflict of interst as the Sec of State of OHIO.
The media has remote control access to the voting machines, PBS said over a year before the elections that the Diebold and Tribold systems technology was not safe. There was not a RANDOM sample of votes counted in OHIO but instead a selected sample! There were diebold and Triad systems employess posting recount numbers to post to election officials after the election and tampered with the software and hardware in the machines, we need a revote and A thourough investigation and reform of Presidental elections.
Our representatives in Congress who turn a blind eye to voter fraud (be it out of fear, ambition or greed) will destroy the very democracy they pretend to uphold.

It only takes one member of the House and one member of the Senate to stop the acceptance of the Electoral College vote and force a legitimate debate and investigation. Do you know why this provision is set in stone in our nation’s laws? I mean, why would we allow just two officials in a body of 535 members to throw a wrench into the works? The law exists because nothing is more sacred than the integrity of the ballot box and if there is ANY possibility of fraud or incompetence, then it MUST be addressed. Because if we don't have the vote, what are we left with?
The U.S. MUST uphold its integrity regarding the election process, or its current effort to bring "democracy" to other countries is meaningless and laughable.
Voting is the fundamental right and privelege in a democracy; all who seek to vote and are legally able to must be provided an opportunity. All who do vote must have their ballots count. If one refuses to support the tenets of a democratic society, he or she engages in a coup d'etat. Act to secure our nation's promise.
The facts and figures coming out of this past election call for an investigation into the election practices and data. As a paid representative of this state, it is your sworn responsibility to uphold the laws of this land and ensure all votes have been accurately, completely, and satisfactorily counted before certifying the results.
A true count of this countries' votes for the 2004 election must happen. It is not a democracy we have here if fraud in our elections exists. I urge to authorize and call for a new election in the states of ohio and florida.
Please do what you can to make this a true election instead of the one we just had. I am so tired of the republicans thinking we a stupid and don't know what is going on. I take offense at this. I'm tired of money buying an election and not letting the peoples' vote count. Do we need a revolution to make this happen?

In order for the citizens of the United States to continue having confidence in the electoral process it is vital that we preserve its integrity. We cannot just stand by silently and allow our democracy to be destroyed.
VOTER in Santa Fe, NM. If the USA does not have 100% fair elections, we stand for nothing in the world, and we are no longer a democratic republic here at home.
I support not only re-votes in ohio and Florida, but a de-certification of New Mexico's electors and a full re-count or re-vote in New Mexico.

I am a college teacher in Florida, and I pressed my students to get out and vote, because their vote, Republican or Democrat, was important. What do I say to them in 2006 and 2008 if you don't protest the certification of this highly questionable election? It's your job; it's why we trusted you to represent our political will. We are all counting on you to do the right thing.
Bush is the embodiment of anti-democratic and therefore anti-American policies and practices, despite his claims to the contrary. The obviously fraudulent voting in Florida (surprise, surprise) and Ohio are proof.
