I work in very diverse working environment, well represented by many ethnicities. I am also permitted to listen to the radio while I work through the day. Strangely enough, the jokes and comments which seem to offend many special interest groups don't seem offend any of my co-workers. They understand that everything said on the show is all in good fun, and I'm sure that if you asked most people (those without political agendas), most of them would agree that this show is far from offensive, and is essentially on par with spending the night at a comedy club.

It is getting tiring that organizations such as this one go straight to the top to voice their complaints and consider the answer to be that a person must lose their job. I'm not completely against establishing healthy discourse about social issues, but cutting off all discourse completely and insisting that the only resolution is that the "offending party" disappears is a gross misinterpretation of how this process is designed to work. JV and Elvis do not deserve to be punished for other peoples' crimes. Each race is different and when we can laugh over those differences, we all get a bit closer to living in a more unified manner. But when we blow a few jokes out of proportion, the divide only gets bigger. Bring my boys back to the air!

We believe that Mr. Vandergrift went above and beyond by sincerely apologizing twice earlier on air this week. In fact this situation has upset my Senior citizen parents, who have been fans for 3 years, and always looked foward to listening to their thought provoking political discussions, (where J.V and Elvis always present both sides of the argument), and the daily news. We sincerely hope this is just a suspension, (although unjustified). Where in fact, the said organization who has taped the mouths of those who believe in free speech, they are, (themselves) two-faced by having harassed and sending violent e-mail threats to the show. Where is there punishment for doing such ? Please, CBS stand by your "Free Fm" stance and place the Doghouse back on regular rotation next week. Thank you.
When will it end and who is safe? Go after the real threat. To ingnore who JV and Elvis are, makes me angry. You would take one JOKE and turn it into this? EVERY radio personality on Free FM and otherwise, better prepare themselves. We have gotten ourselves into a dangerous situation, who knows who they will go after next! We have a right to our freedoms to, that includes listening to what we want, just as the OCA does. They can't turn it off anytime they want, but they can't tell us to turn it off, that's our choice. But they are telling us what we should be listening to, and they have no right. If JV and Elvis are fired, we can't jsut turn them back on. That isn't fair to us, and you are oppressing a voice of the nation, whether you agree with us or not.
1st Amendment must be protected. People need to learn to grow up and if they do get offended, then they have the right to listen to what they want. I dont think the offended party would be happy if we pulled their favorite radio show based on one comment.

The Dog House is THE greatest radio show out there in my opinion, but that is not the only reasom I'm signing this petition. Our freedom of speech as Americans is in serious trouble, and something must be done. Even if I didn't like JV and Elvis I would still sign this.
Fire Them, give them A raise, Put them on a Drive time slot, Syndicate them, and let them do the fabulous job they do everyday, and that cbs pays them to do.

This was not hateful, maybe a little insensitive but not hateful. Racism is directly telling someone you hate them soley based on their nationality. This was making fun of little steriotypes that have been used in comedy for years by the most well known and successful comics. Its not right to have someone fired and silenced because YOU may not like what they said. Ignore it, you have that choice. These special interest groups are trying to ruin carreers over a joke that the majority did not find offensive, and those that did would have gotten over it with in 5 minutes under normal circumstances. These groups should fight for the real needs of their people, Equality in the workplace, better schools in areas where minorities are the majority and things of that nature. Things that will actually help the race as a whole, not some jokes from radio personalities.
