The people who were offended by this bit are a bunch of whiney pussies who have no sense of humor and will never get a show like the doghouse. I actually wondered why it wasn't on more stations! On the issue of freedom of speech, there are way more restrictions on what radio hosts can get away with now than there were when I was in the biz. Ideally, if CBS does to them what they did to Imus, I'd like to see them go to Sirius. If you like the Doghouse and shows like it, you have to realize that anyone who attempts to censor these shows or alter its content is your enemy! FREE SPEECH 1st! DEATH to Censorship!
I'm offended that JV apologized for a very funny skit, and the only reason they played it is because of all the people that do tune in enjoys this kind of humor
The entire reaction to the prank call is nothing short of ludicrous. Firing and even suspending JV and Elvis is a mindless and baseless measure that will achieve nothing but the loss of a great majority of Free FM listeners and the depreciation of the distinct qualities of American society.
I absolutely love the dog house. They are always the quickest and fairest in their apologizing, and they have done great things for ny already- taking care of Deshon, and some homeless people, and letting rudy stay on the show. GO DH. Love you guys.
CBS, please please bring back the D-House. I am Chinese-American on my mom's side (My dad's Irish) and I think the Asian stereotypes used in the prank call are so over-the-top and so ridiculous that anybody who actually takes them seriously deserves to be mocked!

Yo, i dont really get to listen to dog house when its on in the morning, my car radio doesnt work, well that cars gone...anyway these guys made a joke, a FUNNY JOKE, the guy is married to a asian for gods sake, you think hes actually racist? whatever ever happened to freedom of speech, if you don't like what your hearing theres plenty of other radio stations you can go to my a push of a button, don't make a big deal over this, and its def not worth takin them off the air. Besides, these guys have been around forever before they were over here, there respected on the radio, and adored by there fans, there funny guys, it was joke, get over it, and move on.
Free speech is at stake here. We should have the right to broadcast what we want without fear of being fired. They have the right to protest and be offended and that is why we have a knob or button on our radio devices. To me there is no problem due to the ability to not listen.

Put JV and Elvis in afternoon drive so I can listen to them more after work. I love this show. The only travesty is having the current show in that slot. And this bit was a fun, innocent piece of comic genious. Everyone knows how great the asian american community is, and is highly respected. this was just a cute joke. jv should have apologized with the computer voice.

I found nothing offensive about this audio.. This was not an FCC violation..I am a 45 year old woman and I felt no disrespect at all by the Doghouse.. I love them and want them to return... What am I to do with out them....=(
Me and most of my friends and co-workers love the JV and Elvis show and listen to it daily. By taking them off air there will be no reason to listen to Free FM at all. They have the best show on the radio in my opinion. This is absolutly unfair I have heard worse from many other stations, JV and Elvis are just the first victims after the Imus situation. I will never listen to any CBS station if JV and Elvis gets fired over a prank call.
Where does this stop. What other freedoms will be taken next? Book burning and McCarthyism is what I see in the future if this is not stopped. How could a joke be the downfall of an entertainer in the year 2007. Very scary.
I believe JV and Elvis should remain on the air, despite the fact that SOME people take offense to their humor. That is why there is a DIAL on the radio.
This OCA group and it's sidekick 'Fall-Out Central" showed their true colors, they handed out information that compared the prank call to Hitler and the mass killings of Jews in WWII by the Nazi's.The OCA protest was full of RACIAL comments... They were calling the white people Nazi's and KKK members, and making racial insults towards Jews!!!! If you want to say those things...fine say what ever you want..But don't talk about double standards and try to get a radio show fired, when you are doing the same THINGS!!These are the same people who on their website were calling JV's Asian wife equally offensive stereotypical names, when she voiced her SUPPORT for Her husband and his radio show...-On there OWN website, the majority of their comments are from Asians saying they were being too sensitive, and then they were swiftly hit with the same stereotypical attitudes they were "supposidely," trying to rid the radio waves of.They were the one who used hate speech IN PUBLIC!Im happy to say a few news reporters were there to catch them in their hypocritical protest. The reporters are in contact with a select few at the Doghouseforum website and will hopefully show the world who really was shooting off the hate speech.And the best part of it all is that after they spewed racist comments they were giving each other high-fives and patting each other on the back!!!!

It is FRIGHTENING to me that a comedy bit, whether found funny or in bad taste, would lead to the suspension of JV and Elvis. If anything, JV has espoused nothing but tolerance and acceptance of all people, regardless of race, on the Doghouse program. While I disagree with the Imus firing, I can see where the so-called "personal" attacks caused hurt to the individuals on the Rutgers team. In this case, however, the bit in question involves a computer-generated voice, not either of the DJs in question involved in a personal attack. I am sorry that the Asian community has been so hurt by prejudice that they are offended by this obvious attempt at humor. And even sorrier that they take a valid right to be angry at discrimination, and waste it protesting something that was not meant in a hateful way by any stretch of the imagination. I will be appalled if the Doghouse is fired, and seriously worried for the basic right of freedom of speech.

I could have sworn that I heard on Free FM the phrase, "The birthright of all humanity". Now they suspend their family for doing exactly that - practicing what their bosses preach. This truly is a shame.
I have been a doghouse fan since 1996 in the san francisco bay area. It broke my heart when they were fired from the station here and I can honestly say that I haven't listened to that station since they left. I would wake up every morning to win tickets, call to talk to jv and elvis,I lived for my prank call every day. I am a 49 yr old black woman with 2 grown sons who grew up listening to the doghouse I got them hooked listening to jv and elvis. I trusted and loved them so, that my oldest first concert at 17 yrs old was with the doghouse, where they started with the boo bomb concerts in San Jose,CA. I won the tickets for my sons graduation present they went to every bomb concert they had. Just to note the station here has started the concerts again and my son now 27 yrs old just said the other day, that the concerts haven't been the same since the doghouse left. I talked to jv and elvis so much that I thought of them as family, they are the most giving and loving human beings that I ever listened to some of the things they did here were incredible. The happiness and love that they showed to children, homeless people, sick people, people who couldn't pay their bills where jv actually paid out of his pocket. Should show people their hearts. To say these prank calls are racist is a DISGRACE, SOME HAVE GONE TO FAR,BUT THEY ARE NOT TO BIG TO APOLOGIZE IF THEY KNOW THIS. I PRAY FOR THEM AND I STILL MISS THEM. BUT, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND RESPECT THEM.

JV and Elvis is the funniest and best f*cking talk radio show on the air in New York City. Every morning I woke up looking forward to my commute only because I would get to listen to the funniest guys on the radio. They call it free fm, and yet it is clear that it isn't wholly free. As JV once said, "Funny is funny, it doesn't matter who its about." People need to chill the f*ck out and learn to laugh.
This suspension is totally absurd. I have stopped listening to WFAN, and if they fire JV and Elvis I will stop listening as well. Going to buy a Sirius.
