I totally adore JV and Elivis. they are ENTERTAINERS! I think suspendin them was a horrific act and CBS marketing will suffer as a result! We are the target market fr free fm's advertising. Without JV and Elvis, there will be no target market! I absolutely REFUSE to listen to free FM until they allow JV and Elvis to return to their jobs. They did not offend me!!! come on people this is AMERICA? are we becoming another third world country that won't even allow freedm of speech? what's next will women be forced to hide their face and hair????
I have worked in Broadcast for 32 years. I find JV and Elvis very talented communicators. They push the envelope, but that is what freedom is about!! It's a scary path we're going down if they are let go. I miss hearing them on my drive home.......Tony C

I don't get why people are soooo offended by this, JV gave one of the sincerest appologies in the world, and he is married to a Korean woman. I'm tired of organizations not being smart enough to know the difference between bad humor and racially motivated hate speech...let me break it down for you. If i go on the air and verbally assault someone of asian background, calling them gook, or chink, or just harrassing them in general, barrading them with insults and belittling them...that is HATE SPEECH. If i make a prank phone call to a chinese food place, which btw has been done by many a radio show, that is humor, some may be offended by it, but its part of reality and it happens. I used to have a chinese friendm who as a joke would let his father tell me i was an out of shape stupid american... you know what i did? I STOPPED HANGING OUT WITH HIM, if you dont like something thats being said on a radio show, change the channel. It is not JV and Elvis's fault that you lack a sense of humor... or are so out for blood that you want them fired. They gave you their public appology, let them keep their jobs.

Once again, a case of things getting blown completely out of proportion by a small group of individuals how theoretically should have little, if any, sway of CBS's bottom line. I've been listening to JV and Elvis since they were in San Jose. They have never done anything to purposely humiliate any race or anybody. The prank call was done in good fun. What happened to freedom of speech? I thought this was America? JV and Elvis need to return to work.

Where do we draw the line? I have not listened to this spineless radio station since they suspended the DOGHOUSE! I have a SIRIUS SAT RADIO and I listen to HOWARD STERN, but at 9am when JV and Elvis are on I turn the subscription THAT I PAY FOR OFF, and listen to the DOGHOUSE and the NICKDIP show EVERYDAY!!! In this country we tolerate everything. We allow instruction manuals to be printed in Spanish, Chinese, and English. We even have an assortment of cable channels in a language different from our own. In a country this LOOSE how can we not allow people to poke a little fun at the different races that reside here. This is even more ridiculous than the Imus situation. Where do we draw the line? I would be willing to renew my contract with SIRIUS for at least 2 years if they were to sign up the DOGHOUSE!!!! THE NEW COST OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH is around $12 per month, it may be unfortunate, BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I am a parent of 2 adopted Korean children. I listened to the crank call to the chinese restaraunt and found it to be very funny and not degrading or insulting to Asians. This is no reason to fire JV

I have listened to JV and Elvis Since I was 10 years old and since they were doing radio in San Francisco. I am now 21 and have followed their radio career before and after their employment with CBS radio. I am outraged that this was taken so lightly. The Doghouse has been to hell and back and there is no reason to send them back there. PLEASE reconsider their employment. I have been listening to them since they came to NY and id have to say they are the biggest reason that ive stayed listening to freefm. I look forward to listening to 92.3 every morning from 9-12. These guys breakn balls, they bust chops and theyve been doin it for longer then ive been listening. The thing that i think that makes these guys so great is that theyve never targeted one group... they target everyone including themselves. I am a Boy Scout, in fact an EAGLE SCOUT!!
