When Don Imus came under a firestorm for his remarks about the Rutgers women's basketball team, every talk show host on FREE-FM rallied behind him and our right of free speech. In fact, the station did nothing but talk about Don Imus for over a week. Yet, when JV and Elvis were suspended foe what amount to nothing more than a sophmoric joke (a funny one at that) the talk jocks at FREE-FM got tight lipped. This is censorship, you are trying to shake down radio companies. The Doghouse is the funniest, most creative show on the radio. More importantly, it is obvious that JV and Elvis love their job and their fans. I have written letters to numerous people at CBS and have already said what I needed to. DOGHOUSE!

If you at the station fire these two awesome guys over something as asinine as a REPLAY of an old bit, then you are as pathetic a bunch of cowards as these thin-skinned crybabies trying to get their 15 minutes on TV. The simple fact that this was a REPLAYED bit proves 100% that the content of a show is not the problem....you didn't object when it aired originally, neither did anyone else. But apparently the "right" oversensitive assholes were listening the second time around and wanted to make a name for themselves. That dumb wench that was on Hannity said there's "funny and funny that hurts". The fact that you take offense to something as simple and harmless as this is nobody's problem but your own. if the DH goes im done with FreeFM and any company who stays around showing they they believe the firing was the right thing to do (if they get fired). its amazing how a non issue can become a big issue when a group tells its own people how to feel about an issue. its nice to have the RIGHT to be right and wrong, but there is no right to take away the best radio show freefm/cbs has.viva la doghouse!!
I am a baptist preacher who believes that censorship will come next to churches. Free speech for all or free speech for none - I can't let anyone's freedom of speech be infringed upon. They might try to stop me from preaching "politically incorrect" sermons next!

I've been listing to the DogHouse since Jan'07 and because of the Doghouse I end up listening to 92.3 free Fm station all day. I think they’re really great talented guys and are definitely not racists. I was saddened when I heard JV apologizing on air for the prank call. However, I am not insensitive and I understand that anything/Everything in this world can be found offensive to someone. So I agree that a simple “If anyone was offended” type of apology should have been issued…but nothing more. It really scares me and fills me with a sense of helplessness to see what’s happing to my America "land of the free”. Do not underestimate my generations, and the generations behind me, ability to take a joke. Instead please reinstate JV and Elvis the DogHouse. I’m sure it will offend others if I say “it was just a joke” but there isn’t anything else that can be said to completely and wholly describe it. Reinstate or Lose another listener!
